treasure mission is CRACKED for starting and getting a fast tool or something. +rep all facepunch should do is make all quests reset daily. let me be a treasure hunter for comps!

A somewhat functioning Thommy on wipeday is kinda crazy though.

I just came back to rust after years away. I haven’t given the missions a go yet. I’ll have to check them out.

If you swap the items for junk in your inventory it sometimes will respawn the loot. I tested this to see if you could use it as an unraidable stash but got to re roll the box instead. Not sure what triggers the reset though

Yup! Always one of my first stops on a fresh wipe.

I’ve started this quest about 20 times over the past year and all but the first time I can never open the chest because someone else’s has spawned in the same spot stopping me from looting my own.

@@TNXarohe means the boxes spawned on top of each other in the exact same spot so the newer ones blocked the older ones from being looted.

You don’t need an animal for this unless your doing the boar challenge to get the 25 scrap

Hitting 10 barrels gives you 20 scrap So an early spear and fresh road means about 3-4 spawns on the road for 20-25 scrap. Then do this mission and you suddently have a bunch of teir 2 loot to research or even snowball.

Idk about pc but on consol if u leave one item in the treasure chest, and then come back later it will reroll the treusure so u dont have to buy it again

when you loot it you can leave 1 rock in it or something and it will respawn after awhile with more loot

depending on the server rustoria allows you to get the quest multiple times same as boar and deer and sometimes completing quests on rustoria resets quests my max boar quest in one 12 hour session was 7 with like 6 or 7 treasure quests and like 4 or 5 deer quests. I need to see if lumberjack quests reset the quests at ranch . if the ranch or barn is in the corner of a map with minimal sub power stations its usually a coinflip where it shows up. i had a map where it it spawned closer to my base more times than it did the other location maybe its more than a coinflip.

@@hillzy721 There's set locations for the treasure chest, but as far as I'm aware it's a roll of the dice which treasure chest you get directed to. Multiple treasure chest locations being spread out is so treasure quest loot spots aren't camped

Treasure always spawn at power substations. Only 1 exception I saw during last year its lighthouse. And u can loot one treasure multiple times if u know the bug :)

@@rodrigocassel8478 just leave some stuff in box like 1 scrap so it won’t disappear and u can loot that box again in 1-1.5 hour, loot will be different. It works at all servers like 1 or 2 years already. Nevermind the game tells u that quest completed and marker disappear from map - it doesn’t matter, just remember location or take ur own marker

@@rodrigocassel8478 actually last wipe I was allowed to take even multiple quests from same hunter so each 1.5 hour I was looting about 6-7 boxes. It can be complicated cause sometimes it spawns at same location in same box texture so u need to open/close box a bunch of times to get loot but it works. Only it was a server with merged outpost/bandit/barn, maybe that causes a problem of multiple quests. But I’m sure it still works with 1 quest multiple times if u leave some stuff in box and wait for respawn
