The best answer is both 😂. 17 for Home Defense; 19 for EDC.

Can’t go wrong either way. IMO a match made in heaven is having both a Gen 5 19 and a Gen 5 45. Both slides and frames can be interchanged giving you the ability to have essentially 4 different handguns/setups even though you technically bought 2.

Both. Always both. But... if I had to pick just one, it would be the 19 because it's a little more concealable, but can also handle all the roles of the 17. As an aside, if I'm going to be shooting 50 yards, I'm gonna use a rifle.

If you can only have one while wanting the most versatility possible, then the G26 has them both beat. Think Pearce extensions or X-grips for increased grip comfort and firepower.

I have both. In a tactical or non concealing situation I pick the 17. The 19 has the ability to take the 17 mags. Overall if I had to pick the 19 hands down!

I used to have 3 Glocks. I sold two and kept one that I will never get rid of. The one I kept is my gen 3 Glock 19. Still my edc pistol the majority of the time

Sold my G26. Grip too small, slide too tough to retract, but felt great shooting, it shot solid. Sold my G19X, loved the color, more room holding the grip, just not big enough and replaced it with finer guns like a CZ P-09 SR, CZ P10 OR SR, Sig P6 & P226 Elite. Love my G17C, G17L and G40. For me its all about ample room for your hands to comfortably hold the grip. I wear ExLg Size gloves.

I own the 17,19 and 26. Few thousand rounds through each one. I choose the 17 for home defense and overt carry, and the 26 for concealed carry.

I have one of those G19 gen 4 summer specials too. I don’t think it’s really that much better than a normal gen 4 but still kinda like it. Just a little more special! 😀. Thanks for the video as always.

I spotted it too, I have the 17 summer special.

I have two Glock 17 Gen3. One for home defense, the other one to use in the shooting range! For concealed carry I will go with G19 Gen3!

My hands are too wide for the G19 to be my main Glock. I do enjoy it though. I prefer the 17 over the 19 and the 45 over both. I’m guessing you prefer the G19 due to the smaller carry footprint since your hands don’t have an issue with the grip length.

Out of these 2 I'm going with 17 I can easily conceal carry it because I'm a big guy so I don't need a sacrifice round capacity for more concealability and I like the extra barrel length for increased muzzle velocity. I think you'd choose the 19 because it's smaller and lighter but you can still get a three finger grip on it.

17 is the best choice. Reality is that you need 2 handguns; a full size and a dedicated concealed. I bought the Glock 23 as my first pistol because it was said to do it all. Problem was that it did it all mediocre. A long slide always shot better and the 27 was easier to conceal significantly. (I still own that 23 because I don’t consider it a mistake, I consider it the back up.)

I carried a 17 for a while then switched to a 19x and didn't really feel much of a difference I gave up a lot of capacity now carrying a 43x but very comfortable

I'll keep my G-17 thank you. It has served me well thus far and the G-19 is too small for big mitts.

I couldn't shoot the G26 because the recoil impulse caused the magazine to seize up, pinching my hand between the bottom of the grip frame and the magazines base plate.

Love the 17 and 19 but for me the 19 grip just fits my hands better and thats why I now carry a Glock 49 best of both worlds.

G19 with G17Magazine and Finger-extension.

The G17 feels better in my hand, and with proper j olster and dress, conceals eadily. BTDT as an LEO with a G17. G22, and G34.

Both versions are extremely solid (especially G5 MOS versions). Right out of the box they work and continue to do so...If you like to personalize the tool, Glock continues to shine far above all others and the clones of the G3 keep rolling in.

17. I carry a 17 as my EDC as the Glock 19 I bought for my wife is too small for me to shoot comfortably. The grip size of the 19 only lets me get 2 1/2 fingers on it.

On the subject of Glocks, I love my new G25 Gen3 9mm kurz (.380acp) The bullet holes in paper are the same size. The recoil is slightly lighter than 9mm Luger. 4" barrel, 15 Rd mags, 17 might be coming soon, same size as the G19. Your new shooters and ladies will like to train with it. G25 👍

I agree that the feel in hand for me is much better with a G19 size. The G17 has a more pronounced bump at the bottom of the palm. Can you simply put a G17 barrel in the 19 or put a G17 slide on the G19 frame? Maybe hybrid the 2.
