Edited..4/10/23 -- I have come back here multiple times and watched your reaction, just because you are so empathetic-- wish more reactors would touch on the hard subjects and we could all let one another know-- we arent alone. This world is tough. ---Love this song-- when Brantley wrote this album, he was facing alot of his own demons-- so, many of these songs are personal to his own struggles and how he dealt with them -- and yes, you are right-- Alcoholism -- hes asking God to remove the taste, help him beat it-- God told him to come-- "just as you are"

This song hit home with me.. 4 years sober.. but it took me turning my life back over to God and with his help I am now free And Happy. Thank you for reacting to this song!

Wow! That is deep. We all have our problems and our addictions be it drugs be it alcohol, be it even Food. Made me cry made me pray and I'm 74 and facing a big problem right now. Talking to God and turning your problem over to him and asking for strength to overcome. Thank you for this song. I really needed it. God bless you. Amen and so it is.

My grandson is in the Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. When we went to visit him we went to a Brantley Gilbert concert. He put on a great concert. The second half was mostly patriotic. Enjoying your reactions.

His catalog is a mixture of ballads and rock and country...He is from my home State of Georgia...please check out his music I'm sure you will love it All his songs he has written or Co written are chapters in his life the good the bad and the ugly. Yes he battles a addiction and has been sober for about 9 years now. He married his on and off girlfriend from high school and the have a son and daughter..He wrote a song when his son was born (The Man That Hung The Moon)...dive into this rabbit hole you won't be disappointed

My son turned to Him to overcome drug addiction. They are both new creations in Christ. They went just as they were, but they didn’t stay that way.
