I had to re-upload this video...(for those of you who have already seen it, yes I had it up for a few weeks) It was blocked worldwide, so I've re-edited with the blur in the hopes that this one will stay up! Fingers crossed! 🤞

That SHOULD be enough to do it for you. 🤞 I should mention a couple of things that won't get blocked. Just about anything live is safe. To get really good live videos, though, I recommend Vevo live recordings or "live feeds." A live feed is a recording of a concert, made by the venue's cameras, hooked directly into the sound system, and they tend to be extremely good, like having the best seat in the house. The other thing that won't get blocked is "Todrick Hall - The Wizard of Ahhhs (ft. Pentatonix)": kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5-Kx62bYszNoso.html The reason it doesn't get blocked is that its copyrights are owned by Todrick, not RCA, and Todrick seems to be more interested in good publicity than in stomping on innocent reactors. (I regret to say that Todrick has gotten a lot of bad publicity since he made "The Wizard of Ahhhs," for very good reasons; he appears to be something of a jerk. But making copyright claims against other KZreadrs isn't one of his vices.) The only problem with "Wizardof Ahhhs" is that it's an homage to _The Wizard of Oz,_ the 1939 film starting Judy Garland, and it won't make sense if you aren't familiar with the film, so take care of that first.

@margretrosenberg420 oh I know the Wizard of Oz VERY well! I actually bought the DVD for our kids because it's so iconic! Occasionally we get blocks that will go away after 48 hours as long as you have "disputed the claim"... but they can still come back within 30 days and reject your claim, which reinstates the block. It's very frustrating and honestly confounding, because RCA, or whoever made the initial copyright claim will make money from us, the reactors, if they just let the video stay up. We rarely get to monetize videos anyway. So they're kind of shooting themselves in the foot by blocking a video. 🤷‍♀️ Ah well, such is life as a reaction channel. Thanks for the tips by the way! Cheers 🍻

@@MrsRealistic In that case, you will absolutely LOVE "Wizard of Ahhhs." Kirstin just shines as Dorothy, AND Glinda, AND The Wicked Witch of the West Side. Scott plays the Scarecrow; Mitch plays the Tin Man; Avi plays the Cowardly Lion; and Kevin plays Toto (they were running out of roles and they needed Kevin to be in every scene, though he seems to do an awful lot of singing for a dog). Todrick plays the Wizard. It's about 8 minutes long, though, so be sure to set aside enough time for your reaction. As for RCA, I don't know. My best guess is that they're afraid that if they don't enforce their copyrights to the hilt they may lose the rights altogether. I don't THINK that's the way the law works, but I haven't researched it so I don't know. Certainly reaction videos should count as fair use, but I've heard that there's some question of whether fair use applies to videos. It's thoroughly messed up.

  • @MrsRealistic

@margretrosenberg420 yeah, it's messed up. The big name labels usually don't allow monetization... but every now and then the smaller ones and even 3rd party companies will claim the video. Annoying, but it is what it is. Nature of the beast and all that. I'm super excited to check out Wizard of Ahhhs now! Thank you for the heads up!

Folks have noted that Scott takes over the bass in verse 2. I believe that's correct. Some people believe that they cheated here and double-tracked Avi. I can't prove that they didn't. However... PTX also has two live versions of this song online. One with Avi, and one with Matt. In the Avi live version, you can clearly see when Scott seamlessly takes over the bass. And that bassline, as well as everything else in that version, is not materially different from this studio version. So anyway, Scott CAN do it.

I know you've heard Matt sing, because you've reacted to their -cover- upgrade of "Sound of Silence," but that was recorded five years ago, and bass voices improve with age. Now that you've heard Avi's arrangement of the second verse of "Hallelujah," I recommend that you listen to a recent live stream of "Hallelujah," to hear Matt's arrangement of the second verse. It seems to have been written with the intention of showing off his full range, which is truly spectacular. "Change" was Avi's first solo release in March 2019, once he was clear of the clause in his separation contract that did not allow him to release /perform his own music for almost 2 years after leaving. When you watch that video, keep in mind that first, it's an original (90+% of his music is original), and second he does all the backing vocals and sounds other than organ and tambourine in the bridge. For something a bit newer and very different, check out the 7 Layers Sessions version of his "All Is Well", filmed in a church in Utrecht, Netherlands during his 2022 European tour. Stunningly beautiful. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pYKexKN6mqmahMo.html

Sorry, but once VP wins A Grammy then we can talk about them in the same category....maybe. Of course by then PTX might have a few more themselves

You can't compare groups. That is like comparing an apple to a avocado.

@@occamsrazor5376I agree. Pentatonix, VoicePlay, and Home Free are all different animals. It’s fine to have a preference, but trying to find which one is best is a fool’s game.

@robear5440 Vp is independent...don't have a chance against record labels...

Yea....what to say about that...but....Avi is there..and Avi is a real BASS.When he was gone,PTX has lost "something" i can describe(as former bass player i know what, but hard to explain---like bass for 300$,and bass for 3000$..something simillar).Matt is not bad,but he is not bass like Avi,more bariton-bas..like Scott to.Interesting is that those basses(Avi,Tim,Geoff),got enormous ranges, from subharmonics to high tenors.Now..i will recomend to you "MISTY MOUNTAINS COLD" version by Tim Foust & Peter Hollens, and i would be wery courious to se that reaction, and maybe some comparation Tim and Avi.
