The little details and background gags like that are one of my favorite things about these videos, lol.

Speaking about the flowery language, I never realized how much Marvel respected the kids who read their comics. I read these in compilations as a kid and learned so much interesting vocabulary and concepts about science and myth.

Actually the name Donald Blake isn't boring. In most cases Stan used an alliterative name for his characters (Peter Parker, Reed Richards, Stephen Strange..) to help remember the name (he once slipped with Bob Banner). Donald Blake is taken either from Donder en Bliksem - Dutch for thunder and lightning - or the German version Donner und Blitz. So quite an appropriate name for Thor's secret identity..

I remember watching this show when it originally came out. And I can assure you that despite how crappy this animation looks now, it was among the most awesome and impressive things in my life and in all existence back when I was five.

I remember older kids trying to convince me this show was bad, since all it was was voiced comic book panels w a minimal amount of movement. And my response was, "Yeah, that is why I like it". Dramatically voiced, moving comic books, what more could a kid ask for?

There was nothing else at the time. If you are born later and bombarded with more modern content, this seems corny. And they made 39 episodes of each super hero? That's unheard of today. Super Friends was pretty bad but it ran for 12 years.

I watched these in 1966 when I was 8-years old, then they were gone. I still remember them fondly even though they were not that good. Thank you for bringing back this long lost part of my childhood.

Carl Creel had a real glow up between this show and Agents of Shield

I like how, even though this is the first time I'm ever hearing Loki's voice from this cartoon, I've been imagining him sounding like The Monarch while reading these comics, and that is exactly what he sounds like here.

I don't know why you think your footnotes and tangents are a negative thing, I love all the context and your excitement about it. Really adds to these videos

I've never seen footage of Stan Lee that young before. I feel like I'm hearing his voice coming from the wrong person.

My Dad [R.I.P] used to always talk about these old 60s Saturday morning cartoons and I remember the Thor theme more from his over the top rendition than the song itself haha Needless to say I'm gonna watch all of these

Not sure how I feel about variant Stan Lee

I remember watching this series on an independent TV station in '85. Was on in the mornings and for a few weeks in the afternoons on Fridays in the slot that showed older Batman cartoons from the 60s and 70s. The story that still sticks with me is Absorbing Man's origin and first fight with Thor.

Seeing Stan Lee without a mustache for the first time has warped my fragile mind. I'm fully aware of how silly that is but I think I might have nightmares about it. I'm totally shook.

I like watching stuff at double speed. Sub-Mariner's is the one I have trouble with; one line in particular. Hulk's I thought was pretty easy, though it's the dumbest one: Doc Bruce Banner, belted by gamma rays Turned into the Hulk. Ain't he unglamor-ays? Wreckin' the town with the power of a bull. Ain't no monster 'round who is as lovable As ever-lovin' Hulk. (Hulk, Hulk.)

I swear those segments between the analysis are the best, they are hilarious. I honestly wait to see how you end those side stories xD

Hulk's theme song was the best, I still remember it to this day.

This two video series has become my new fascination. I love this so much, it’s so intriguing.

I watched these shows when they aired. My favorite quirk is Odin's constant change of ornate armor from frame to frame. Decades later me and my buddies would imitate this version of Loki's voice on occasion. AND we had a very inside personal live meme where we would roll some hair across our foreheads (like in that overused closeup) and say "Odin give me strength". lol
