An awesome upgrade for the Southlander that was due long time ago. It gives a more aggressive look to it. I will tell you. A good set of BF Goodrich KO2 35s with the white letters facing out is a must. Rhino rack to bring the tent closer to the roof is also cool. Waiting for the Expo to hang together . Involving your boy into Jeep and wrenching it will prepare him for life .Keep doing it.🤘🤘🤘🤘

Your factory bumper fit as it should yet the “misalignment” of the factory holes, well that’s a manufacture’s defect. That’s SUPER weird. I wonder why the factory bumper fit just fine? You’re right there’s no way it’s an aftermarket bumper issue. 👍🏻

Your JKUR would look and perform great with an AEV 3.5" lift kit. High quality product which I used on my JKR. The AEV Bilstein shocks are an improvement over the stock ones, but when I changed over to the Falcons there was a definite night/ day difference. Less floaty and much firmer on & off road. For tires, I prefer the tall skinny look and performance over the very wide and suspension component premature wear. The tall skinny profile also negates the need for wider fender flares for a better coverage of the sides of the Jeep during wet and muddy conditions. The tires that I chose which worked awesome in all conditions - Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 255/85 17r, they are actually taller than 35x12.5 17r.

Lift, all depends on what size tire you’re wanting to run. If you’re sticking with something like a 35” tire. I would go with a 3” lift, preferably one that has long arms. You get better articulation with long arms rather than shorts arms. I believe Iron Rock Off-road offers a good quality lift for JKs. But not knowing what your budget is, I can’t really say what exact brands to go with. I had a cheap 3” Rough Country lift on my 07 JKU, but I was on a very limited budget during that time that I had it. Unfortunately, I had to let it go, due to my ex-wife divorcing me. The lift was alright, but it wasn’t no long arm kit that I wanted so badly. Hope this helps. And I look forward to seeing this project unfold. God bless!

I guess you could but you really shouldn’t have to with a product that’s plug and play. So far it’s been doing ok. We’ll see how it does on the trail this weekend
