When will we see a maintenance guy build a tank. Their perspective will be much more different then the others I guess.

So calming to watch you build a terrarium with a bonsai. Great inspiration for myself to explore terrarium piece with my bonsai too. Thank you. Beautiful work.

It looks beautiful! I would plant the tree in a little bowl, so you can easily remove it for cutting. You can hide the bowl under the sand or moss. A third plant ,fitting to the tree, would be nice.

When I saw the title and thumbnail, I thought you were going to make use of the heat cable insert on the base of Biorb air 60. Almost nobody knows it’s there, but it’s how you heat these round acrylic enclosures should it be required. Which is rather tricky otherwise. I’m not sure if it’s built into the newer Biorb air 30 though, perhaps not since no one really uses it on the current model. I know none of this is particularly relevant to the video, but I think it needs mentioning 😂

One essential bonsai tool, that I've found most helpful in aquascaping too, is the humble chopstick. It's great for getting the soil out of the roots.

A nice idea but I would use a bonsai that is more suited for a humid environment and slow growing. That tree will suffer and if not, then it will eventually become too big for the biorbair 60! The maintenance of that tree as a bonsai will be a nightmare in a long run! I would use a bonsai driftwood structure and planted with Buce or Anubias petite instead. Also, it suffers with more details on the design. When we build bonsai trees, we look forward for its future final art outcome and health of the tree. Bonsai is a lifetime commitment. Love green aqua ideas though and thanks for your time in sharing many good ideas in aquascaping.😊

Hey, amazing video. Was very relaxing to watch. Have you experienced any of the issues others complaint about, and do you know if Oase has fixed a lot of the issues others have been experiencing with this? Such as an app, the light/cycle not working as it should, the air gaps in the lid, and much more.

Sageretia ( Chinese Sweet Plum ) , I think it will struggle in the humid environment permanently if the temperature gets above 72F / 22C I may drop it’s leaves 🍃 it does look nice in there though , and time will tell 🤞

Nice , I think a traditional rule of thirds ratio would have been nicer with a rising cliff offsetting the tree instead of the large to small vertical ratio that has happened but it is still nice

That tree is going to explode with so much soil all of a sudden compared to the traditional bonsai pot it was kept in. Would love to see a proper fusion of bonsai (root restriction, wiring, etc) and terrarium/aquarium methods. Bonsais are such a long term project and I feel the 2 years most aquascapes are kept for is incredibly short in comparison

It looks beautiful, but is the tree going to be able to get moisture through the first layer of soil (the amazonia)? The soil is supposed to suck up water from the bottom reservoir via the fabric...

@@GreenAquaShop The good news is that it's an easy type to trim and keep tidy but just be prepared to do it every few days when it's having its quickest growth spurts. Otherwise it won't look like a bonsai tree for very long, it'll just be a big bush.

This is the Biorb Air, it’s actually a pretty cool terrarium not an aquarium. The only negatives are the price and the lights are kinda outdated. The newer Oase Terrariums have upgraded lights though. Diy route is definitely fun though as well.

Yeah, but if you look at prices for all this in DIY - at this level of automatization - you can get quite high too. I would not mind paying the extra for the research Oase has done, not because they sponsor the channel, but because I like to support R&D with all brands, they move the world forward. Think of an iPhone.
