This Nigerian Billionaire Spends His Day Building Homes for Nigerians. Part 2

This Nigerian Billionaire Spends His Day Building Homes for Nigerians is another episode of my promoting Africa Series where I feature black entrepreneurs all across Africa who have built successful businesses and they tell us how they did it.
Today I’m gonna be sharing with you the story of Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo who is a Nigerian real estate billionaire who has built a successful Real Estate Development Business in Nigeria all from nothing. I came across him in 2018 when he was the cover of Forbes Africa and since then I have been wondering when I will have the opportunity to sit down with this great mind. Today I finally got that opportunity and his story is really inspiring so definitely watch this to the end.

Being of age and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. The market is never a loser in a twenty year cycle, but the 2000s decade scenario scares me and could really disrupt my retirement. When you are no longer accumulating but withdrawing its hard to be anything but cautious.

Great part II. Speaking of waking up early, I live in Washington, DC, but work in Falls Church, VA, right outside of Arlington, VA which is minutes from DC. I my start time is 5am until 1:30pm, but got up at 3am, leave home around 3:30am to get to work extra early, little after 4am to relax before work day starts. Now, since pandemic, teleworking and really, getting out of bed after 4am. But I've always been an "early bird." 🐦

Always good to start early. Personally, I accomplish a lot if I start early, which is never easy for me, though. However, productivity depends on job availability. As we’re not all entrepreneurs and self employed, if you are unemployed, it doesn’t really matter whatever time you wake up.
