The boss yaps a lot, but the combat looks solid 😅

Practically an Old dragonslayer from DS2 bossfight but with sekiro's parry mechanic.

Parry sound is crazy good, the animations for it? Not so much The thing that thymesia lacked (literally 0 VOICE ACTING, JUST NONE) is kinda the opposite here the fella really yaps it out, i think i do prefer this than total silence tho

@@powerduck8209 Lies of P is in a way different league. I generally dislike comparing games blatantly, and take them for what they are. Enotria is by no means as good as lies of p, but it was a pretty fun, chill evening for the demo

Yeah it is off. Has alot of issues and im usually not bothered by jankie games as much as some but its hard for me to imagine that they can fix all the issues i had with the game before September. You also have to remember that this game was supposed to release in june then Eden Ring DLC was announced.

The head do juggle tho

In my 10k+ hours of Souls borne games and souls likes- I noticed a few things that felt off to me from the get-go. 1. The camera is WAAAAY too close to the player character. 2. When locked on, it’s difficult to turn and run AND to dodge the direction I input with the controller. 3. Large weapons hit like wet noodles. 4. “Fast” weapons feel too slow even for a souls game. There should be a trade off for a weapon that does more riposte damage vs more base damage OTHER than the damage aspect. My rinky dink sword should swing faster if my riposte does more damage than the actual swings of my sword. 5. The abilities are literally trash. They got me killed more often than anything- where is the big sweep ability or the lunge ability? Where is the flurry ability and the teleport ability? 6. But the music and the art style are 🔥🔥🔥

I think the animation is fine, imo the issue is that the attacks look sort of weightless. Like they aren’t actually hitting/causing damage. There’s no stagger, no hard noise, no camera shake, etc

As much as I enjoy souls like games this look as basic as souls like games get parry parry parry attack rinse and repeat the boss kept doing the same shit over and over

This looks... Off. Animations and textures I think. The animations are very static and choppy, and the textures are missing the feeling of a lived in world, I think. With the amount of soulslike now, thats a pass.

Soul game is a genre now so there will always be new "dark souls" from different producers other than fromsoft This game is not a carbon copy of ds (the gameplay and combat system will always be similar to ds because it wouldn't be called souls like game then) and it's a game from a young independent software house.. it's also their very first big production for pc and consoles so it's ok if it's not perfect under every level

@@TimothyGod there is no magic rule that states if FromSoft didn’t make it, it isn’t a souls-like. Did you even try looking it up? There’s another genre called “rogue-like” based on a game called rogue that spawned an entire genre just as Dark Souls spawned an entire genre. If you go on steam, or google, or any gaming platform that lets you search by genre, you will see bloodbourne and sekiro both have the souls-like tag. Please tell me what they should instead be called?
