We need to give a lot of credit to the sound engineers & FoH, cause this sounds bloody excellent. So much detail and clarity in the mix, but you can still feel the weight and power of the orchestra.

Watched this live (on TV) and then borrowed the iPlayer soundtrack with Audacity, and have been listening to it regularly with all the other PSB stuff. So glad it's out officially now, and yes I did pre-order it months ago. Stunning.

The best......THE BEST thing I have EVER seen on KZread. Blew my mind. I make sure to listen to this every single frigging day (minus the boring warbling at the beginning, sorry to say). Googled to see if PBS were doing any concerts locally this year and blow me-tickets booked for October 2024. Can't bloody wait!!!!!! 😊

Now that is one of the best performances I've seen and heard in such a long time. I saw PSB live a few years ago and their ability to tell a story through their music is brilliant. Well done BBC

I know PSB for nearly 10 years and I saw them in Cologne, Germany for the first time. They are very special ! If you want to hear 'new music', just take your time and listen. I never understood, why they are not very popular in Germany. Maybe Germans don't like real good music ?! (lol) But still I am hopeful to see you again ! Why don't you come over with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and play in the Elbphilharmonie ?! Lots of love Detlef from Frankfurt a.M. who never saw you there, just in Cologne, Mannheim, Wiesbaden...

You know, I have been caught up of late in those "frustrations" you mentioned, but thank you for reminding me of what the BBC has been, still is in part, and could be again. Instead of turning off and away I shall continue to support in the hopes that, like all of us, we do better in the future than we have in the past.

An incredible 'piece', orchestrated amazingly, and interpreted by the finest sight musicians in the world. I wonder if the BBC symph players gave any feedback to you guys, quite a unique piece even by their eclectic standards I would have thought? I live for music - in my 50's now , but I did Saturday morning music school, wind band, swing band, youth orchestra, jazz, rock, metal, local orchestras, brass bands - and I appreciate the messages throughout this piece despite not being an avid 'spoken word' listener. Of all the music platforms and stations that are available, I generally use 2 stations for my 'more variety' fix: BBC Radio 3, and BBC 6 Music. All the variety a human could ever need - unless you just desire a bit more Country!
