Normally only a highway engineer with at least 11 years' experience would be able to beat Tana, I'm impressed.

What Mini Motorways really needs. Is a sandbox mode. Also a higher limit to the area you can work in. But not to the point were the game starts to lag.

⁠@@samuelwurster2899 yeah. Endless mode is basically a sandbox mode. I guess this guy wants to be able to control the placement of everything, including houses , supermarkets and imax cinemas. And he probably wants to have unlimited resources too. I don’t think we’ve got a mode like that.

I once been a beta tester for a browser game, among 10 other people. For a week it was just us playing the game. Nevertheless seeing my name on top of "world leaderboard" was so great, i totally understand how Matt feels. You mind telling you that 10 people is not really the World, but your heart is deaf to logic and filled with accomplishment.

Yup. Leaderboards in general are fun, I held a world record for a mission speed run on a game with a friend once a couple years ago. It was awesome

Hey Matt, Im not sure if you noticed but if you pay close attention to how many houses have two cars still in the driveway that gives you a good indicator of whether a district is undersupplied or oversupplied.

Would it be a viable strategy to constantly tearing down roads that are about to "solidify" and re-building them the same way with a new timer? Or does tearing down a built road not return the invest?

cars would not get to their destinations, so timers would pop up almost instantly.

I don't think it would be a viable method. roads can't be taken up if a car is already using them so it would only make it worse

That would only work if you only had very few separate roads, you're very likely going to have a tone of roads connecting different houses to stores

I have a suggestion i'd like to see you try... Have a little bit of straight road coming from each of the shops entry. I just noticed that when things get hectic, cars going in and out seem to struggle to get around the tight bends you make when you connect directly to the entry point. I don't play so I don't know if it'll work, but I do enjoy the videos and it's just something I notice when watching. Keep up the awesome videos 🙂👍

Roundabouts are great even within the same color (if multiple targets), but you got to remember to use them early on BEFORE things become an issue!

I have tried a strategy where every few minutes, I must stop, look around the map and see if I can make any changes that will aid traffic flow in the long run. But I run into the problem of perhaps making too many changes that use up too many road tiles, and when the map expands I end up having to undo my changes (Or when in "Expert mode", I have to make terrible decisions that I know will be bad in the long run because I don't have enough tiles)

Yeah I think maybe instead of focusing on minimizing the distance traveled, it's more important to minimize the number of nodes/crossings between groups of houses and destinations

I wish I could get it, but no PC, Mac or Switch. I want it on Samsung (Don't have an iPhone) or on PS5. I would love to play this game.

Hey it seems like there was another really big update for stack lands they added a ton of new achievements, one of them regarding “the final boss”

Matt what happens in real life if the road work is un-doable due to budget problems? Like what is the road planner after you, the player, get fired at the end of a game of this supposed to do?

Mini motorways video is finally here . I mean just been a good while since RCE last uploaded a video on this . Expecting much chaos , knob jokes 🤣 , and many ways how Matt makes us realize that he for a reason used REAL before Civil engineer in channel name so that we don't think he's architect looking at the game play , as it becomes more and more complex !

its 1 in the same. The people that too long to get there because the Imax only has a few parking spots and until the cars already at the Imax have left the parking spot another car can't pull in to park looked to me the each Imax had different number at cars able to be there at a single time. so if that is how it works you have too many cars being sent to the same Imax if you can figure out the right balance of cars parked then exit with right lengths of road for the other cars to arrive just after the first cars have left and have it cut off at the right cycle but this could mean 2 house from 1 side of map heading to Imax on other side of map then how ever many house mid way going to the same Imax and maybe 1 other house closer to Imax so that it staggers the times the cars arrive and leave if you got 15 houses all next to each other all going to the same Imax its only logical that there would be a traffic jam even if you took half those house made a freeway for them and the other half of the houses get a road to the same Imax it might allow the first group to arrive and leave as the second group on the slower road arrive and leave before first group shows back up again but im not sure if thats how the game works but that are some of the ways i would try to cut back on the line of cars arriving at the same time and causing them to not be able to arrive on time by taking too long to get to the Imax

I would like to see the alarm not shut the city down but instead cause the building to explode and take out attached infrastructure all the way back to their attached homes of the same color. The land would be destroyed and regular roads couldn't use it but new homes buildings can spawn in those locations. The introduce a new road type that can go on or through the damaged areas that you get like bridges or motorways. Alternatively, they could just shut down the building with those same color cars still trying to find place to go and that shut down building can't be removed, but might spontaneously change colors to another working building. Each exploded building should half the score.

Out of topic how do you own all the map of the tsunami map in cities skylines?

Roads aren't permanent, they are destroyable, but needs the correct equipment.

Traffic lights are better than roundabouts as roundabouts get clogged up easily and if u do your junctions correctly traffic lights come in clutch
