There's no absolute way of defending in this game. It's all too random. You can time the tackle, wait for the correct angle and moment to go in, actually tackle the ball and ended up losing it right away with the rebound or your opponent's ai automatically tackle the ball back as soon as they lose the ball because of high defensive depth/press after possession lost tactic

People doing: Finesse shot or power shot volley all over the map and easy goal.... it's not about defending, it's just about who can score further away

L2/LT Jockey has this longstanding issue of rotating you around to the back of the advancing ball player for some reason, putting you at a further disadvantages and a chase that you will surely lose

you are the goat dylan you're the reason im a div 1 player if anything your techniques are so good man thing I loved about this video the most is you used each technique in online game so I got to see first hand what was the most effective and honestly o struggle on lining up my defenders so much I’ve been practising these in squad battles

What setting allows L2 R2 to stretch their legs because it doesn't work for me

i only use second man press and cover the passing lanes manually by holding l2 i'm not always holding second man press when my opponent pass the ball i release it and press with another teammate that works the best for me

This is the kind of video content the EA community needs. Thank you for this mate! If i may add, seeing how OP the A.I. defending is this year with the intercept+ playstyle, i’d just jockey in between the passing lanes instead of trying to win the ball.

Maybe u use different controller settings but my r2 always activate 2 man press, pls what do I do

Make sure your controller setting are srt to "classic" before you r match starts. Sounds like you're on alternate.
