this is 100% true, games like running from the internet are AMAZING, but get barely any traction, while games like 🤢🤮toilet tower defense get BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of visits.

This is True but I think yall are forgetting that Roblox is a primarily Kids Forward platform it's to be expected, what devs need is creativity I believe rell seas can offer that. As much as people would like to hate Blox fruits is one of the same in this regard, Sub Classes and Sea Events and even though it's small Weapon Enchantments with the scrolls all add to the game and the direction the devs want it to which is being more RPG like.

The game doesn’t need the entire platform like blox shits does. The amount of actual competent people who would pick up this game is enough to last it years as long as it’s good of course.

Fair, and true, i was new to developing when we started Venture and steam seemed too convoluted and harder to garner attention on. Now that me and the team are more seasoned we plan to release Venture as intended with all features, do a couple expansions, then move onto a steam project using UE5 most likely.

The sad truth is, Roblox player would like to play a simplistic game. However, I think they will at least get 3k player due to player from game like arcane odyssey, deepwoken, or pilgrim will go to this game.

Its also gonna revolutionize my cpu after it blows up! In all realness tho, only ppl that are over the age of 13 (35% of the roblox community) would actually play this. SO, this game isnt gonna pull BIG BIG numbers due to the fact that its to advanced for the average kid to understand, or to play cuz they are mostly mobile players.

Not the target audience but the game is made for everyone of all ages, i used to play games like Venture as a kid like classic world of warcraft which were far more confusing than what we are making. The MMO genre is convoluted but only releasing it will tell which audiences tend to enjoy the game, it is designed in a straight forward way though in the base content so it can be picked up by younger audiences.

@@lanemeister5972 Yea, but you also forget how much generations have devolved overtime. Thanks to games such as Blox Fruits, Pet Sim X, etc, children are more confortable getting instant rewards instead of actually waiting for good items, which is an aspect that most MMORPG games fail at. This being due to the lack in attention span over the years thanks to the internet. So, though you used to be able to do so as a kid, kids of the late Gen Z or Gen Alpha wouldn't have the attention span to really care for the game that much, or would rage quit due to the time needed to get good items, which inevitably would be from not-so-simple quests, which is why grindy games and idle games have become so popular these days.

How is it gonna handle lower end devices? Will there be setting for those things? Will they take the ability of both Xbox consoles, and p5 into consideration before making it available on those platforms?

Fully optimized, we diagnose everything on multiple devices with micro profilers. Frames are steady atm, bugs change that every time we work though but it will be fully optimized at launch and in it's current state is fully optimized. We will have graphics settings for lower end devices as well.

Just saying. In roblox the "quality" only matters for kids who love seeing flashy particles and huge numbers. We cant expect good gameplay from a good looking game until it releases

Its not gonna revolutionize the site, deepwoken which was average 40k players shouldve had games switching to perma death and parrying and you dont see that unless its a cc game

Perma death and parrying are only fun for sweats that don't like enjoying games. Imo it needs to be skill based but not entirely dependent on your build (that's counter-intuitive to skill) and ping (which absolutely isn't skill)

Kids will wait years for things to load, you underestimate the attention span of a child. They spend forever doing the most boring and monotonous shit I've ever seen, like playing a simulator game where you click the same button for 10 hours. The barrier of satisfaction in Venture just needs to be at a point where things can still appeal to the masses which is just part of rarity balancing and visual effects. As long as there's something satisfying to play then kids will like it, even if it's just the exploration element and they don't understand the intensity of character progression related systems.
