This New Chinese Armored Dinosaur Had Four Horns Sticking Out Of Its Face

Ғылым және технология

Ankylosaurs are ubiquitous in any Cretaceous scene, but little is known about them. That’s thanks to their armor falling off their bodies as soon as they die, taking the rest of their bones with it. The best ankylosaur specimens found themselves in large bodies of water, where the decaying body would bloat with gasses, explode, and sink to the bottom to become blanketed in silt for maximum freshness. Some other good ones were overcome by sandstorms or moving dunes, swallowed in the coarse stuff instantly. Shai-Hulud, they were not. Despite this seemingly iffy fossil record, these critters were evolutionarily diverse.

Videos about basic herbivores may not be the most popular, but I appreciate them. It's cool that a new ankylosaur from the 'middle' Cretaceous was found. Another piece for the puzzle!

What I like about your video (aside from the information) are the animations and 3D model of the dinosaurs. Greetings EDGE Science 👋

Oooh, always interested to hear about fossils from that chunk of time between the end of the Cenomanian, till the end of the Satonian. It's a transitional period, and different groups were picking up, in the wake of the Cenomanian extinctions.

@@JAGzilla-ur3lhBoth of this is likely because he took it down due to them being very plagiarised videos. It was a whole thing, more info in his community posts and a link to a video where he is questioned about it

There's a good reason to Only use Latin names, they just changed dragon to a nonsense word that didn't even exist in their language, officially 2 months ago.

Using other languages gives some healthy variety, and otherwise we would run out of names that aren't the same as an existing beetle species.
