I've ridden that trail, it's really nice. I usually camp in Brithdir, its back up the trail, just past Dolgellau. There's the usual amenities, plus a lovely little river and fire pits.

That ford looked dodgy!! Thanks for sharing this - I live in North Wales, and might just look this up!

You should be able to charge Di2 from a powerbank. Worth a try and something lots of people travel with on bike packing trips if the Di2 runs out of juice.😊

Hi, great vid. Really fun to watch. I’ve been wondering about this route for a while. Would you say it’s rideable on a gravel bike? I note that both of you have front suspension and some sections seem a bit rough.

Im taking my gravel bike to Barmouth soon, planned to ride over the bridge and down the trail. Could anyone share a link to the route the ladies came down from to that trail to the lake maybe?

I don't know why I got hung up on the facts that both you and your friend's vans were broken down at the same time. And then the gear shifter broke followed by a dead battery and no charger... What's going on? Beautiful scenery btw. Have the same BA Tigerwall tent, works great.

Amazing video and riding partner. Why does she not wear a shammy? And also why ride these routes as fast as you can if the are absolute gorgeous. I rather take all the time in the world.

My friends and I call going with no chamois as going “chamando” (like commando…no underwear, only no chamois).
