Despite the thrusters lookin' like armored propane tanks, the suit looks wicked cool...but it looks like it would be more at home in blue like the Gouf & Kämpfer or in brown like Cima's Gelgoog Marine.

The irony is the novel predates War in the pocket and Stardust memory albeit in a different design (by Zeorymer mechanical designer before we got the redesign we're familiar with)

I'm I the only one that absolutely loved the shot with the two core Gundam hanging off the big guy? Cuz that was weirdly adorable. Definitely a good looking zeon type suit, may have to pick one up myself.

this honestly looks like some kind of alien youd see in destiny or something. I LOVE the organic lines and skintone armor. It has the feel of like,, trying to intimidate the enemy by painting your face like a skull

theres that one crusader sitting at home who sees this and loads his lmg with religious intent.

I feel like a custom build of this model, doing painting, custom metal parts, and detailed parts would look pretty good

Nice to see a different Kit that isn’t a Gundam! Looks great! I’ve always liked big buff mech suits!

the head is an absolute masterpiece. Reminds me so much of the older zeon and the UC series zeon designs

The pose with the two core gundams hanging off of its arms has convinced me to buy this thing at some point. That and literally everything else about the kit...

This is probably the first insta-purchase I've made just based on looks! It does look amazing, albeit a cross between Hulkbuster suit and a WH40K Terminator Marine. Looking forward to scribing up the relatively plain panels. The only weak-looking area is the size of the rear thrusters - I may upgrade those. Many thanks for the review - as comprehensive as ever :-)

Gonna pick this up today as my very first gunpla, can’t wait to get into this beautifully crafted hobby.

The fact that they call it the “Type-F01” makes me wonder if they’re planning on using new versions of the Messer in future works post HF. I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to it, the Messer is an awesome design.

There are leftover parts to make other variants but you need 2 box of these to make the Me-02R Messer from SD G Generation.

From what I've seen personally, there is gonna be a commander version of it. Personally this is one of the suits I do not mind to have variants because it is already awesome in the first place.

You're in for a treat! One of the best HGs I've ever built!

Honestly, the thing I did when I built my messer was I used a gundam metallic gold paint marker to do the yellow sticker sections. Frankly, it turned out quite nice, and oddly fit the unit quite well.

This kit looks absolutely amazing almost Rg level. As soon as I saw your review instantly preordered it.

The glossiness looks really good in the light.

The box of the Messer reminds me of the day i got my 1/144 The-O. You don't see this box size very often in the 1/144 scale.

This kit looks awesome.. Did i just saw a 2nd set of thrusters ? The ab crunch design looks great compared to that of RG Nu which has a gaping hole. The upper thigh joint for is not an issue. For a big MS, I would be surprised if it has that may articulation..

I could have sworn I have said this before... The Messer is built on the Geara Doga frame and is actually a 'Hero' Mobile Suit. Think of it being treated akin to the Sazabi.

Oh the customization posibilities! You can mix this with either Fedie or Zeon suits..

This HG is worth getting. Badass, bulky, same height as the RG sazabi, and WAY STURDIER THAN THE SILVER BULLET SUPPRESSOR.
