This reminds me of the Dimension Stack option in immersive portals, where it'll connect dimensions via portals; so there will be a portal between the bottom of the End and the top of the Overworld; and you can configure if the connection between two dimensions is one-way (so if you fall out of the end you cant go back up to return). Notably, if you have the Nether and the Overworld connected via portals, the bedrock at the bottom of the overworld and at the top of the nether will be replaced with obsidian, so you can actually mine through that obsidian to reach the Nether.

This just makes me think of the mod I was working on a few years ago that I called "Samsara: the Ascent". There were 7 dimensions (including overworld) and they were to be vertical like this one. The lowest level was the "Clamoring Void"...a nightmarish place with strong enemies that could fly quickly and dealt void damage. If you took enough void damage within a short period of time, it would kill you and delete your inventory (like falling into the void in the base game...a thing you couldn't do here). Next was Infernus...a dimension that required fire immunity to travel at all as the air in the place would set you on fire and touching any of the native blocks would deal lava damage. You could mine "Superheated Core Crystal" here, which was the best material in the mod. You had to expose the blocks to water to make them workable ("Core Crystal"), but doing so would make them function like TNT...so you had to get ready. After that was the Nether, then the Overworld. Next was the Stratus...a dimension of bouncy clouds and low gravity. There were no enemies per say, but lightning could strike pretty much anywhere, and mining cloud could sometimes produce a water block to knock you back to the Overworld. Next was the End. After that was the Ascension. Here there was just one thing to find...a Cyclic Temple. In the middle of the temple was a block called a "Vana". Hitting the block with your bare hand would cause you to warp to origin spawn in the Overworld with no changes but for an empty inventory. The tier of gear you had in your hand would determine what you would respawn at spawn with. If you had Diamond (this predated Netherite), you would respawn with a full suite of "Ascended Diamond" gear, which was a lot like Netherite turned out to be, but for the fact that the gear was unbreakable and a tier high enough to mine Superheated Core Crystal. If you came back and hit the Vana with a Core Crystal tool, the Vana would disappear and be replaced by a clone of you, in full Core Crystal gear who was actively trying to kill you. If you defeated the clone, you would get a credits sequence inspired heavily by existential philosophy combined with Hinduism, Buddhism, and bits of both Zoroastrianism and Taoism...you would then respawn at origin with creative flight and a level of 50 that could never go down (enchant everything for free...basically a postgame reward).

I knew I wasn’t the only one who made that connection. The Dye Mixer made me realise that it might be a mix of the 2 games. The Nether/Underworld being under the surface if you dig far enough down is a common trope as it is. But as soon as they brought up the existence of Platinum and Hammers it clicked.

Definitely interesting knockoff. If you are looking for something closer to minecraft, a game called Mineclonia on the Minetest engine, does a great job at recreating Minecraft. It has all the bioms, dimensions, even most of the structures. Game mechanics are also recreated including redstone.

The music and the way you went up for so long and finallt saw the aether. Not going to lie, it was beautiful in an unexpected way. Kind of like my inner child having his Minecraft dreams come true.

This kinda reminds me of Block Story. The way there's hammers, dye station and the world is infinite verticaly so you go down to reach hell and go up to reach forgotten sky and space. Now the just need to add quests, NPCs, dragons, aliens, magic and a ton of bosses)

I see potential in this game to become 3d terraria and not just a really good minecraft clone

i used to play this knockoff minecraft on mobile (you could probably find it in the google play store) called "crafting and building" and it literally was minecraft but with different textures, it even came with a texture pack that would make all the textures the minecraft textures, like the company couldve just taken the minecraft files and copy them over
