    I have one of these and absolutely love it. Comfortable, looks great, has a unique Italian style, easy to ride and so satisfying to own. (I do agree about the front brake though! A twin disc set up it should be much more powerful than this is.) I’m in the UK and the price here is £5K. That’s about £1800-£2000 cheaper than the MT-07, for example. That makes it a bargain. It might be that US pricing makes the Benelli less of a bargain. Don’t be put off by the Made in China tag; my Leoncino has been 100% reliable, faultless, and it’s as well made and well finished as any other bike I’ve owned. The Chinese can build high-quality bikes if they’re held to rigorous quality control standards, which Benelli do. I’d recommend this bike to anyone, you’ll love it!

    1 year owner for a Leoncino 500 street version and I love it. It's one of the the perfect entry level bikes that put lots of emphasis on keeping the core stuff great on a budget. Fun to ride, for some reason everybody that has rode it says it has character/soul (I fully agree), nothing overboard, and still looks handsome. It does make me approach other bikes differently. It is no longer all about the specs, I would consider how it makes me feel on the saddle too. Which I believe is crucial when you want to move on to your future bikes down the line. For me, I wouldn't let go of this bike, but would add another sportbike when I want some speed and fun, and alternate with this for the chills.

    I think more twins need to come with dual exhaust slip ons from the factory. Think that what's making it sound a little different. The 360 crank prolly helps too. I picked up a Toce slip on from a friend after he binned his track bike and put it on my MT-03. While it still sounds like a small displacement twin, it now does this really cool resonance thing any time you get on it.

    The sound is that of a 360 degree firing order P twin, like an old school Triumph or the BMW F800. BMW used it on the F800 because it has a very similar sound and feel to the BMW boxer twin. I think it would compete most closely to a Husqvarna Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401

    Not sure the matte black background is the best choice for this venture. Makes it really difficult to see the profile of the bike and all the features. I think draped white sheets would hit nicely especially throwing in some colored accent leds where appropriate. Far more lighting as well. Since I’m going to step out and critique you guys just wanted to say I’m a huge fan so this is all so the viewers will be more likely to thumbs up. 👍. I think we really appreciate seeing side by sides with other bikes whether similar or different. It’s something that we as viewers get a lot out of and something you could much easier provide for us than for us to find ourselves. Anytime a video shows different height riders on a bike is a huge plus as well. Those are the things we are most looking to see. How does it look, how would it fit me, how is it compared to this other bike. Throw in HP/Torgues/price and you got yourself a video that becomes a video dictionary entry and becomes the go to. Love you guys. You ever want to give away a free bike to a noob MSF grad with a permit holler at me!

    My Benelli TNT15 is manufactured in 2020 and still has a carburettor. That alone isn't bad, but the engine chuggs at low rpm and makes this worrying "angle grinder noise" between 6000rpm and 7000rpm. The engine also has a problem revving up when I don't engage the choke. I know it's a cheap thumper bike, but c'mon I bought it brand new, cash, and the dealer won't even offer me a replacement unit, it's hasn't even got 3000km on the odometer yet. So... No, Benelli's build quality and after sales support is not up to par with the big 4, at least that's my experience.

  • @Shogunhm

    @Shogunhm

    Hey, try to adjust the carburetor a little more richer in gasoline and the idle in 2k rpm, it will consume a little more gasoline but it will respond better. All carburatore motorcile are like this, you have to find the perfect configuration between air and gasoline.

    @@Shogunhm I had a honda carburetted single cylinder from 2010, never had a problem with fueling or combustion timing, I twist the throttle and it goes. Benelli can't make an efficient engine so they ship their bikes with overly lean fuel mixture to pass regulations, I've messed with the carburettor and the last thing I've yet to try is changing out the fuel jets for an aftermarket set. But I doubt it will fix the grinding noise, it's almost definitely engine damage.

    Here in Europe, we use the term Roadster a lot. A Roadster is not a trail bike and it's not a cruiser, but it also isn't a super sport bike although the category the Roadster is closest to is the super sport because although it is fully naked, the type of engine is much closer to a super sport than any other style, so it's a naked bike with some super sport capabilities like the CB1000R or the MT10 or the Z900 etc...

The gaskets on the flange for example are asbestos with fiberglass, the manifold gaskets are poorly compressed graphite, the valves are made of softer metal (my cylinder head assembly needed replacing at 5,500kms), bearings are lower quality. They've partnered with KTM as well and they're making all the bigger KTM bikes for worldwide distribution, but I really have my doubts about quality issues having experienced what I have with my own bike. The sprockets needed replacing after 3,500kms. I sorced some AFAM sprockets to use instead of the original poor quality parts. I could go on, but there's no point. I first test rode the Desert sled and other Scramblers, very Similar feel - less power of course, but a third of the price for not much difference in performance. Love it so far. 4000km In. Ride it daily as a commute, weekends through the mountain roads / Twisties and regularly on unsealed light off-Road trails. Off gutters daily , riding two up with my 6 foot wife. The adjustable rear shock easy to use and makes big difference with 2up. Its been perfect so far. Great ride for the price - Simple riding pleasure. The 360 degree engine has much more character than other parallel twins. Ridden 500x , 300 / 500 CBR and would take the Benelli anyway over the Honda's.

(Which I have owned) i think the tnt 300 would make a great second bike for anyone who rides a naked bike regularly. I loved my buell XB 9 and I love my SFV650 but sometimes you just want to ride a cool little cheap motorcycle. I’ve personally had the most fun on inexpensive low cc bikes. They don’t mind doing 30 so you enjoy nature and the ride way more. A new rider will grow out of a low cc bike way faster than an experienced rider will. Later on you’ll miss a little 250/300.
