Dear Ian. Andrej here. I´m so happy that you and your family enjoyed my selection. I tried a bit of everything. The italian pistachio truffles are truly great and I hope you will try the oil and the vinegar. Plus, now you can think of Austria for your European trip. It´s funny to have Austria and Australia in the same setting. All of the australian parcels were great. :)

@@IWrocker It´s nice to hear that. And if you ever need some tips just let me know. I like that you put an extra value to natural products from farmers. Unfortunately, certain things that contain alcohol or are processed in a certain way are not allowed to be shiped to the US by regular persons. Otherwise I would have sent you a bottle of wine (Slovenia has some of the best terroir for white wine in the world) or some bilberry liquer made from wild forest bilberries. 😀 Keep up the good work. You are a very positive person and I enjoy your enthusiasm about cars and engines.

I googled the name ... and found out that the "Kurbiskernol" is a Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil… Speaking in terms of Styrian culinary specialties, pumpkin seed oil belongs at the top of Austrian regional specialties list. It has been produced and used in southern Styria at least since the 18th century. Pressed from roasted, hulled seeds of the local variety of oil pumpkin, Kürbiskernöl oil is quite viscous and has a rich aroma reminiscent of roasted nuts. Due to high carotene levels, when poured in thick layers, pumpkin seed oil appears to be deep dark red in colour, but it actually has a rich green colour. In Austrian cuisine it is used mainly for salads dressings and drizzling over cold dishes.

Exatctly. Thanks for the extra info. I didn´t want to write an essay in my note to Ian. The pumpkin seed oil has the EU protected geographic origin seal both in southern Austria and northern Slovenia. So you can only make it in those two regions using traditional techniques and the local variety of pumpkin which has been bred for centuries to this specific purpose. The austrians roast the seeds at 150°C (300°F), while the slovenians do it at 90°-110°C (200-230°F). This makes both protected origin oils unique and they are often served in leading Michelin star restaurants all around the world. The one I sent to Ian is from a small oil mill close to Graz. I also bought the apple vinegar and pistachios there. They sell some great farmers products from Austria and also Italy and Spain.

Correct, except you left out the umlauts. There is quite a difference between "u" and "ü", and "o" and "ö", and "a" and "ä". They are distinct vowels with distinct pronunciations. The dots are _not_ optional! ;-)

As a Aussie who has only watched a handful of iwrocker video's I just want to say thanks for sending this stuff to Ian and his family. I actually started watching this channel because of all the car racing videos Ian does. Then seen a mail unboxing video and realised Ian's love for all things Australia, and I was hooked. Was so cool that you give the kids a treat to eat, and toothpaste and toothbrush. I'm the kind of guy who goes shopping to complete it in the minimum amount of time, so there's no way I could put together a mail box as good as your wife.

But true to form here in OZ we stuck a six cylinder inline six in the engine bay a 245 cui or a 265 cui hemi just to show how a car should go. They were great in a straight line but forget about going around corners.

8:14 "Nicht nicken!" 😂. That would mean "Do not nod!" But it says "Nicht knicken" which is "Do not bend / fold!" There aren't any silent "k"s in the German language. 🙂

How old is Sydney?, I've not seen Sydney before. My great niece is probably the same age. Your kids are getting big. In Australia, even some food items can be different from state to state. Food safety is a big thing in Australia. At Easter there are so many different Easter eggs to choose from. We are very lucky. Big Hi👋 to everyone. From Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
