I bought a Zelos for a Christmas present to myself last year. I love it. For the price its unbelievable. My friend liked it so much, he got the same one in a different color.

Great value for sure, but in IMO over designed at the sacrifice of legibility. The hand and numerals should have a more contrasting finishing for easy, quick glance legibility.

They even made a tantalum model. Probably the most affordable tantalum watch in the market.

I think the tantalum one is probably the best deal as there is nothing comparable at that price point.

Aesthetically, gorgeous. So much going on with the dial that you can't stop staring. Gorgeous movement and I'm sure it will be more so with the new decorated ratchet wheel. Couldn't believe the price, I'll definitely will look into this one. Nice review, thanks.

A little too busy for my taste, but Zelos continue to deliver good value and take risks with their designs.

This may be the one. It's thin and has an aventurine dial with machined guilloché. It has a lot of empty dial space, but I think I'm okay with it. Some of those macro shots don't look that clean, but it's a preproduction model, and it's $800. Very tempting. Thanks for the video, Chris.

Good review which I enjoyed. Not a bad variation in the five choices. I'm hitting over three dozen ZELOS including the Halo Mirage 8 days skeleton. Elshan designs some amazing watches at great prices!

I already like it, but develop a version with a moon phase complication and I’m hooked.

I've been flirting with a Raymond weil millesime for a few months now. This blows it out the water for around half the price. Swap it over to a Milanese bracelet or a nice dark navy saffiano leather and it's the perfect dress watch. Just need to decide between this and the mosaic mother of pearl.

The RW Millesime any day of the week over Zelos. 2023 GPHG winner. They don't hand those out to just anything. The RW should be streets ahead for attention to detail, movement, fit and finish. But buy what you like.

It’s a beautiful design. I know Zelos is a bit polarizing, but they still put out some nice designs IMO.

I prefer this model than the Salmon one. Excellent piece.

Great value! Too fancy for my aesthetic and my lifestyle but man if I had to dress up every day, this would be it. Elshan nailed it!

Dial is pretty textured, too textured for my tastes. There is so much going on that one can barely see the time.

ZEEEEE-Los sir. Excellent review. I'm hoping to land a Tantalum version myself. For a 7.25 inch wrist this is a bit small.....but tantalum. Mr. Zelos approves.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Zelos is actually "quality control issues"... from all the people that complain about that on forums / KZread comments etc. But their support is apparently pretty good to be fair.

I have 3 Zelos watches and none of them really had any glaring quality issues. But my titanium Swordfish was IMPOSSIBLE to get the links off, because they used loctite on the screw pins. I stripped some of the screws attempting to take them off. I emailed their customer support and Elshon (the owner) emailed me personally and sent me replacement links (since I scratched one) and replacement screws. Him and Marc from Long Island Watch have impeccable customer service.

Never have I ever heard anything bad about QC issues with Zelos ... and I'm in the biggest group that will complain about everything.

I’ve had 6 Zelos and never had any issues. I’ve also heard the customer service is impeccable if something does occur.

Nice but hands should be polished, hard to see

I had the salmon dial version of the original Nova. Was a nice watch but had some very rough edges, and I mean that literally. Thing chewed up straps because of how sharp the case was between the lugs. I sold it on Timekeepers in seconds for more than I paid for it but I don't think I would buy another Zelos without handling it first; the QC on that watch and two other Zelos' I owned was very poor.

I was going to buy a zelos but got tired of fighting the crowd and everything selling out. I unregistered because of that and moved on

it's always cringe and sorta dishonest when the specs say that it's "7mm thick not including the box sapphire crystal".

I really like this watch but it is barely thinner than the nova but has lost 50m of WR and after taxes it is getting pretty close to Nomos club campus money.

@waynesellers4078 in all fairness, the nomos Club is a super basic watch especially the dial and case. Also the Nomos is thicker and costs double the zelos nova

@@WatchChris according to specs the nova 1 was 8.5mm thick and so is the nova 2 and the nomos is 8.2mm thick or a little thicker with the display back. I can get a slightly used nomos for £800-900, new around £1200 and the zelos is around £800. The zelos has a better case and dial but the nomos has arguably a better movement and a better name horologicaly speaking. I like both watches but there isn't as much in it as you might think in my opinion.

I get what you are saying... But comparing a used Nomos vs a new Zelos isn't totally fair.... I'm not sure what used Novas go for but suspect they don't lose a lot of value... And that thickness is for the club is not including the sapphire (which again isn't as nice as the zelos) the zelos is 7mm thick. But overall I don't think the person who likes nomos would like Zelos (as much) nomos is definitely a bigger more established name..

I believe used nova are more expensive than they were when you could buy them new. I think the tantalum version is the one to go for though as there is nothing comparable at anything close to the price.

I want to like this company, but everything they make just seems boring to me.

I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. mamacoo brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !

It's beautiful, but at around £750 landed in the UK, it's not what I'd consider an affordable watch.

Like most of their releases, I kinda like it but not enough to actually buy. The side view of this watch is horrible. Way too goofy looking for what is otherwise fairly dressy. Agree with some other commenters that the dial is too busy as well, diminishes the legibility.
