He literally could go out his first ever NFL game, his very first snap and end up having a career ending injury. If his name can get him a few extra dollars this early on then go for it. My issue with hold outs are the guys who’ve made more money then the average hardworking person will in 2 lifetimes. Like their 5th all pro season wanting to hold out for more money. Yeah are they worth more then they made? MAYBE but at what point is it enough money? I like the players who constantly take pay cuts to be surrounded by talented players. Let’s just face it, this generation of athletes are smarter than their predecessors. They understand their worth and won’t settle. I respect it! Go far young man!

It is his choice, and he has the ability to do as he pleases. If Marvin Harrison Jr wants to make the most out of his brand, this is probably the better decision to make some more money. On top of that, the lawsuit against him will probably fail. On the other hand, it may actually hurt his brand overall because nobody will be able to buy a jersey from him unless it came directly from him, and fans will be upset that they won’t be able to play as him on Madden 25, just because he wants extra money to come from his name. He is in the right to make this call, but the question of whether or not this is ultimately good for him is up in the air

Nobody is buying the game just because a singular player is in the game. The NFLPA just allows companies to collectively bargain without having to go through the hassle of negotiating with players individually. Maybe things like apparel (Jerseys and TShirts) have an impact, but people will forget he’s even in the NFL before it impacts Madden’s sales. Unless you’re a Cardinals fan, it means very little.
