If it was up to me I would've turned him into one of two: Assuming he didn't join another party and went for the solo brooding route. 1. A berserker (i mean could you imagine, dude gets stronger the more he gets hurt but he is constantly healing. Plus if you heal broken muscle tissue you could get JACKED in no time) 2. An artifact monger (if you can't you do dmg just hunt down magic artifacts that can do damage for you) Either way he's just gonna play with cards he was dealt, instead of "Oh He WaS oP aLl AlOnG"

The worst part of this is a really good idea for a story: a loser who wants to be an hero just for selfish power-fantasy actually gets a support class and as to learn to be humble and be an actual good person through the course of the story. But man it seems like they fumbled in every single way. Like why not make it so instead of being kicked out of the party for "being useless", he gets kicked out because he's always trying to replace the hero and messing with their quests and then he gets replaced. This trope of making the MC this overpowered edgelord who's always right and everyone else a stupid idiot is so annoying

Apparently the whole "Power Goes to your Head and Corrupts" trope is how they justify it. But damn... it does feel jarring to see people who are basically just regular suddenly do a 180 and be complete jackasses. I'd understand if they _always_ had this inclination, but to see a generally well adjusted person become an absolute heel because they got a little extra power can be a little much.

This WOULD be a good idea if it was executed properly. If their descent into madness was written properly for a few chapters, it gives the group members more nuance and dimensionality instead of just kicking the mc out because hes "useless", at least in my opinion. Some mangas just lack that certain depth needed for the story

Healers are super OP in the world of medieval fantasy and they can literally get the power of a king and get a fucking cult of super loyal followers who are willing to take down a continent for him. Guy could've been secured his whole life!!! Imagine the amount of people who are desperate for medicine and immortality than killing random monsters and shit. God, I hate manga when authors underestimate healer classes and make them fighters like their only use is to be a human shield in a dungeon.

literally the background of human faction in "I Use High-Level Medicine to Counter Magic". Human race was too puny to keep up with other magical race and being so gods give them the gift of healing magic. Humans quickly power trips and became the most prominent faction in that world since only human could cure diseases and ailments, bending other factions into their knees. Regretting their decision, gods isekai'ed a modern era doctor with only his medical knowledge and his personal medkit as only tools of trade, setting him on the path into non-human faction so they can learn and practice medication without solely relying on healing magic.

I think this that exact troupe could be interesting if done as a comedy in a satirical way as in: MC THINKS he's OP but really he's an edgelord, entitled and dumb AF, everybody else is just normal and be looking at him like "dude, wtf", then make the interactions funny because of misunderstandings and awkwardness of situations. Kinda like "Emience in shadow" where MC plays a movie in his head and acts "Because it'd be cool" then the developments aligns with his head cannon by sheer coincidence further enhancing his delusion. That, but MC's own stupid choices keep putting him and his party in unfavorable situations and they can't just get rid of him Because IDK, he's royalty or something and have no other choice but bear his annoying ass. That'd be a fun twist IMO

Not to mention, if you fight an enemies that have a healer, most would attacks them (the healer) 1st. I might still defeated the Boss directly, but that would take time consuming cause the healer. And that's about a game, If that are IRL situation where you can literally die, Enemy healer is definitely top of the target.

I read this manga a while back, and REALLY loved the artstyle. Sadly it never got me hooked or invested because it turned into another of these "kick the party member but they actually are the reason why they even have survived". It was just too exhausting at some point

And this is why I hate most party based games. I don't mind having a healer...heck I get along fine with healers and tanks although I have a knack to always choose the most useless classes like a summoner (they never summon more than 1 creature ) or something edgy or quirky like "the blade dancer" (who ALWAYS end up being glorified buffers with no damage output and vastly outclassed by priests or something silly like that...) and yet I always enjoyed the mmo I played due to either a healer or a tank. usually healers have the time and positioning to be the party leaders and/or strategists which is kinda cool as a concept but boy... Do I hate not being able to do anything even mid game without one... There was an mmo I once played were the healer even leveled up FASTER than me, the mage, because he could OUTDAMAGE ME due to a buff. Seriously... If i got into a magic world and someone told me "congrats... You're a healer" I would be OVERJOYED for being able to live as one of the most ridiculously survivable and powerful tropes in any mmo...

Party kicks him: "It's goddess fault" Dungeon spawns: "It's goddess fault" Gets rejected by girl: "It's all goddess fault"...wait it's power fantasy manga...

The most underdog character in this manga is The Goddess, LOL. Girl just gave him powerful support class, no downside, no shady deal, and then Russell just cursing her at every turn. Most power fantasy manga tried to make us sympathize with the "underdog" main hero, here he acts like petty villain who blame all their shortcoming on the underdog MC.

I hate these fantasy manga tropes. The “kicked from the party and then get Op cause self insert plot bs” trope. Especially if said person is a healer because that’s literally the most important person in your party. I can let it slide if it was self aware and could make fun of the idea instead indulging in the nonsensical logic of the story. Idk, I’m just one of those guys that hates it when the author thinks you’re stupid. Btw go see Rooftop Sword Master as a reference for authors making dumb stories and treating their audience as idiots. It’s pretty bad.

Ya know, so many of these kinds of series involve the MC getting kicked out of their party because... 1. Pervy team leader wants girls/glory for himself (Seriously, wtf). or 2. HURR DURR NO NEED HEALER/SUPPORT HURR DURRR (Party members all have the big brain damage). That I'm totally jaded to those plots now and dismiss them on sight. But holy shit this MC has the big brain damage too. Usually they're the only smart person in the group. I'm not sure if that's refreshing or horribly depressing!

​@@heterotrophic I swear, you'd have to put your hands far into the edges of hell to find an a.i with this plot. The goddess gives me way above average healing abilities, gets kicked out = goddess who gave him powers fault(obviously), hate goddess.

My super cool OC, the [Black/Variation of Red] [Noun], he was borned as a [something I think is not that cool] but then he made a contracted with a [dark being] and then becamed a strongest swordsman!!! I don't understand how these get funded or published and honestly have half decent artwork, there's so many you can find that are like this. Berserk of Gluttony and Ragna Crimson also fall into these tropes, and somehow both managed to get anime adaptations. Then again if I was 13 again, I would probably think these were the coolest manga ever, and go ahead and draw my own black swordsman in a trench coat oc.

@@mangabarista I just think the worldbuilding and tonal consistency is bad. Some parts are almost parody levels of writing, but it's hard to tell if it's meant to be taken seriously or not. Spoilers for the manga ahead At the point I left off in the manga, Ragna has a phone call during a serious fight. This is after he's already flown up into space during a battle, and fought at supersonic speeds against Woltekamui. That scene is cool, but it makes any scene that comes after more boring in comparison. This is a problem series like dragon ball also have, because they have to keep doubling down on the powerscaling to engage the audience. The series also doesn't convey well that it's post apocalypse to begin with, making the jump between the early scenes and when they start pulling out guns and modern cars pretty jarring. In fact the post apocalypse setting doesn't even really matter up to where the story leaves off, most characters still wear fantasy armor and wield bladed weapons. Characters like Golem and Chimera are also pretty badly developed despite being shown off as important figures. Slime is also just a generally annoying comic relief character, which only compounds the confusing tone the series is going for, which sucks because out of Crimson's familiars he gets the most screentime. He and Ruoxi end up becoming the punchline for a lot of the humour after the Ultimatia arc, where the writing unfortunately seems to get worse. tl:dr Crimson is hot, but the worldbuilding and powerscaling kinda stinks. I think Mashle did a better job of what Ragna Crimson was aiming for, a series that can be both funny and serious, although it leans more towards comedy.

The world building is chaotic as it should be, it's a broken world with a lot of mysteries holding it together, things we won't really know until we get to know crimson since he's obviously tied to it all, heck we don't even know what the dragon god really is. Also the introduction of the post apocalyptic aspect was indeed jarring, but it was done very early on so it's fine, i would be more upset about it if it was done later. The series has great character development i mean look at the climax of the bloodline of wings arc, it was character development galore. As for crimson's servants I think it's too soon to say they're not fleshed out, i mean the story is only in it's second arc so far, and if you think about it we don't even know much about them to begin with, golem is an AI who has multiple bodies of which we've only seen 3 and only one of them was a combat type, and Slime who is just as you said a comic relief mascot (although he has his moments like him eating Nebulim TWICE) he's a weapon made to kill dragons and is only used when the plot calls for it. As for chimera her story is obviously connected to Ferbigott and with him gone we'll see how her character will be handled. Also it's not a fair comparison to compare Mashle to RC Because one is a Comedy manga with good battles while the other is the opposite, plus the world of RC is way bigger. I think what makes a RC so good, is that the battle manga Genre has one big problem which is predictability, and RC does an excellent job of subverting expectations while maintaining good pacing.

This shit doesn’t make any sense at all. 1. Hero is not a class, it is a title. any class can be a hero. not to mention, being strong doesn’t make one a hero. heroism comes from inside, not outside. Batman may be not as strong as Superman but people still considered him a hero. how can the author f this concept up so badly ? 2. While it makes sense that healer shouldn’t be in frontline. however, if the healer can fight, then why the f not ? he literally said that he can use a sword, he even beaten the hero dude once ! they kicked him out for the most stupid reason ever. what’s that ? Paladin-girl is in danger because she was protecting the healer ? mf, Paladin is a defensive class (with offensive ability) If you don’t want her to do her job, then hire another class. 3. His class is literally the most overpowered class. the ability to heal and cure everything is so busted (especially in DND) yet he whines about it ? mf, you don’t even need to go to dungeon to get rich. in the world full of monsters & danger. you can make money quite easily by just charging treatment. 4. Why no one disagree with the kicking decision ? are you telling me that everyone always agree with each other ? and arent they supposed to be childhood friends ? they knew each other for a long time and you’re telling me that they don’t even care about MC’s say in this ? this shit is so contrived. 5. Of course, it was all about the girls. every damn time !! It wouldn’t be an isekai without women being conquest for man. also, If the MC now know that the hero dude kicked him out because he want to hogged the girl to himself, then why is he still hating being healer ? it doesn’t matter what class he is, the hero dude is going to cast him out anyway but with other reason. 6. why tf did he still think he’s weak ? like.. dude, you literally take damage from a dragon and heal back instantly. dragon is literally one of the most powerful creature in fantasy literature. Gosh, I hate power fantasies so much. I get that the author (and some audiences) want escapism but this shit is straight up projecting. as my boyfriend say and I quote “this shit feel like a fanfic of an incels, who blame everything around him for his own ridicules, who rejected by a girls so he has to paint the other dude as bad people and the girl as a stupid for not seeing how good he is, who want to earn something without effort”

Bro, the amount of times the asshole blonde hero does something to paint the "innocent" black-haired (insert any class here) mc in these novels is excessive lol i heard european blonde guys are really popular with japanese women, so it's really a kind of incel fantasy. About the women being prizes, they are not only treated like that, but also as "yes men"(or should i call it yes women?) to the MC. I was reading this novel and the author was introducing 3 ancient Demonesses described as powerful and prideful, then he puts them to meet the MC. In no time these ancient prideful demonesses are fighting each other for the MC's affection, and start acting like fangirls 🤡

It's so annoying, a lot of character other than MC at power fantasy only exist for 3 thing: 1. Become antagonist 2. To show how good the MC is (by showing how pathetic and how stupid they are). 3. To become MC harem member (no wonder though, I mean other character other than MC, mostly a very bad human being, that's somehow worst than the MC, to the point they don't have any choice either).

"Hero" actually is a class in a lot of JRPG's, especially Dragon Quest, the game that defined the genre. The general idea of the class is that it's a jack of all trades with a bit of everything: both physical and magical damage, tanking, healing and a bit of support on the side, and with a general preference for swords. In other words, it's the Bard but blander and without its gimmick.

Honestly, I want to see an “MC leaves the hero’s party” trope where the hero’s party genuinely has a good reason for kicking them out. Maybe it’s because they’re a horrible person or they’re a direct hindrance to the party’s progress, but either way, it’d be interesting to see the hero’s party doing completely fine without the MC so the story can focus on improving the MC as a person. Maybe they joined the hero’s party in the first place because they wanted something to prove or something that they needed, but couldn’t get because of their already sour personality. I’m a sucker for all the self improvement stories, but power fantasies are almost always boring, especially when it’s clear that there’s no level of depth or character development.

One of the better takes on this I've seen ran on the idea that the protagonist left the heroes party because he got an early game crutch class and he assessed they had passed the point where he mattered anymore. (This being why he was let go.) So protag basically retires to the lower level areas where he can still steamroll anything they need dealt with and goes to settle down with the romantic interest he left behind. Not a huge fan of what was done with the party (They relied on him for all their logistics and so it becomes a disaster, which isn't what I'd like to see.) but it is the closest I've seen to an amicable parting. There's room for a story focused on the protagonist formerly of the heroes party to make a good living cleaning up the side stuff they didn't have time to do (or the results of what they did do before moving on.) while just living a good life. Have some character drama or romance with them being the steaks because we know their not threatened by potential violence/monsters/bandits/ect.

The anime "Instant death skill" is somewhat laughable too

So while the healer all two of them in the wrong way is a tank they are also not exactly the tip of the spear. which is why i enjoy that anime good use of explaining how the power works. the only issue would the the isane amount of mana both tank healer have.

Have him be a tank that outlasts his enemies, have him learn how to be a great fighter without any kind of system help, double down on him being a support but have to form his own party out of strangers and outcasts, make healing a potential offensive tool like healing a wound wrong causes massive lumps of useless tissue to form or makes his enemies exhausted because their body partially uses their own energy to heal. Maybe even tap into some body horror stuff like "healing" some of their own blood that got onto an enemy causing a copy of their body to form around enemies like a malformed cocoon. Do something. But no just give him a fireball to because why not

The problem with this manga isn't really the main character so much is that the author wanted an edgy protagonist more than anything but doesn't know how to do that in a believable way. People like edgy characters not because they like the edge, but because the circumstances that lead to the edge are _believable_ and not contrived or convoluted. The worse that's happened to this guy is that his lifelong friends abandoned him for a really stupid reason. And while that would definitely change a person's perspective on people, the sudden shift doesn't make a lot of sense. Especially since he's still trying to help people with the powers that supposedly make him weak. Him blaming the _goddess_ for how his friends acted is a reach that is suppose to lead to him _rejecting_ the _evil_ goddess that gave him a _useless_ skill. I've read plenty of manga where the goddess is the true main baddy, and this one is really not done well. The Goddess hasn't done anything directly to the MC or the world at large so his vitriol toward her is unwarranted, thus unbelievable. Him becoming a "dark avenger" against a "corrupt" goddess is thus a weak conclusion and makes him out to be a jackass instead of a man who was wronged and rightfully looking for justice. But what can I do, this a power fantasy. A very bad one.

I think the Goddess is actually a good guy, and the MC accepts that later in the story, even partnering up with a goddess himself. Though, I didn't read the light novel, so I don't know the main goddess (who might possible be Katie) is the real bad guy, or was it Vince all along. Regardless, I don't think either ever got confronted, which makes this manga sort of anticlimactic edit: in the ln, Katie seems to be the main antag

There are SO MANY fantasy stories where the character gets a class/power/incarnation that seems very basic and underwhelming but they use their wits and creativity to make good use of their tools. Cause it's satisfying to root for the underdog! Saying "oh, instead of the super special class the protagonist got ANOTHER super special class and that's his struggle" loses me on the spot.

I started reading it and went for the conclusion of the current manga arc, but so far the only good scene is the one he hypes his army, that scene is fire but anything else so far isn't that great.

You know, i once thought of a story with the similar trope of healers being kicked. The MC is a healer who had high expectations on becoming a member of a party. (He fantasized on being an MVP and the hero stuff) But he often gets involved with parties whose members are shitty people or either were too arrogant to even consider stopping to rest. With his views as a healer destroyed and tired of people looking down on him, he began to avoid joining parties and simply utilized his healing prowess to help other people. His time with party groups made him develop an inferiority complex, where he believes he'll just be a liability to the members and would probably be kicked off anyway. However in one fateful day, he was invited by a warrior to join his party. The MC refused at first, but after the warrior explained to him that they needed a healer to assist them on clearing up quests that are way out of their league, he relucantly agrees to join. The MC expected to be bullied like any other parties he was in. But it turned out that all the members were genuinely kind people and were extremely grateful for the MC's assistance. Hell, he was even considered their friend after a while. The story would revolve around the MC and his time with the party, with him slowly forming bonds with others as he realizes that he doesn't have to be the center of importance--- what matters is that he enjoys his time with them. While this is some cliche "friendship bond" stuff, i'm proud with how it turned out. It's a one shot story that i made up, and if i ever publish it, i can only hope that this short story would be the driving force to make writers realize that not all MCs need to be edgy or overdramatic in order to be good.

I dont know why these writers have to try so hard to make a healer op offensively or make healing this lame thing than it actually is. Just go to any MMORPG raid and realize how much control a healer has on the whole party lul. Hell go play some TF2 and realize how important the Medic is in anything. Then have your jaw drop when you realize he is not a slouch when it comes to dealing damage (even tho he's still the worst at it).

I want one of these "My party kicks me out, but I turned out to be OP" stories, but the MC is actually useless to the party and so we follow our MC as he grinds to become not useless.

I mean, really, it'd be nice to see one of these where the party manages without them. Maybe not being spectacularly successful as they used to be (a bit of that 'has been' going on) but doing fine. Contrast with your exile having to struggle but finding fulfillment and maybe if you feel like extra credit, have them work together when a greater threat comes knocking and reach a mutual respect. (While still going their separate ways.)

The Idea could be good. It could even be interesting if a healer could become a damage dealer by doing the "inverse of healing", but damn these power fantasies need to be stopped. Of all RPG classes that could be good material for a story, the Healer is one of the best, but not for power fantasy, and that's why most power fantasies that use healers, they ALWAYS become a DPS first. As a Support main, It's annoying as heck. The fun of being a support is to have a team, and micromanage buffs catered to each other for their function. I Enjoy healing the Tank and buffing their shield, I enjoy buffing the damage of the DPS and saving their asses because they outreached and don't know their place, I love setting combos with my skills, I don't enjoy soloing a boss. My Power fantasy isn't to kick ass and get waifus, it is to dominate the whole battlefield without even stepping inside it and make everyone eat at the palm of my hands or die. This thing could even fit well in a harem isekai, because those waifus will eat at the palm of the hands of the healer! Also, healers inherently have the associations with clerics and nurses, and that's why I enjoy isekai healers where they are actual isekai'd medics, pharmacologists, nurses, etc... I think, if any writer wants to write about healers, they should at least read a thing or two about nursery and pharmaceutics instead of reading other mangakas and trying to "out-cool them". I had more fun watching how in Isekai Yakkyoku, Pharma was trying to set a quarantine for the Black Plague than any hero soloing a boss in other isekais. Also, if they want to really know how the healer class works, they should actually play a healer in a game ffs! Heck, we even had people in WoW setting a quarantine for an infectious disease, it's not outlandish to think real life sometimes bleed into RPGs in unusual ways, which can become inspiration for mangas too. I have a similar beef with alchemy in isekai. Real alchemy has so much cool lore, stop reading other mangakas and go read some alchemical manuals ffs! For example, the sulfur-mercury theory of metal formation written by Jabir ibn Hayyan or the concept of Spagyrics, those things SCREAM isekai worldbuilding. Combining metal exhalations in proportions to make other metals? Destroying and recombining plant material? I want to read an isekai alchemist do this sort of shite. Also, make the damn alchemist a pharmaceutical and a healer and boom, another cool idea, as long the mangaka actually knows his stuff.

Bro for real though....imagine how entertaining a batshit villain would be if their entire power set is just healing but they deliberately "Botch" the healing to cause damage instead? Like I am not talking about a MC or such, just a side villain character. That concept is so cool, get a little creative, have a batshit evil bastard of a villain with this ability and have em come here and there for a few high quality scenes or fights and even if you get rid of them afterwards, well they still served the story by being entertaining...Like I just thought of a concept for a fight just as I typed this down and it feels more creative and interesting than any of the copy-paste power fantasies these guys churn up.

I think these authors get the idea healers are weak from turn-based rpgs, where most healers can be entirely replaced by a tank using healing/buffing consumables

ngl i kinda wanna see a story where its the reverse, rather then the "op healer kicked out of party but they actually need them" It would show how important healers actually are, causing scarcity of them forcing party's to ration their heals and try find extremely expensive healer carry's for dungeons etc If you could heal any injurie you would be amazing in a hostpital for civillians, dungeon crawlers would need them aswell so this would cause a problem and i think it would be intresting to explore the perspective of a weak underleveled party struggling because they cant afford to always have a healer like the best adventureres (could mabye be a critique on healthcare aswell )

Many "expelled from heroes party" kind of series use the most ridiculous reasons to kick the MC, only to make him OP later on. *sigh

This reminds me of the hero from Bibliomania. He made this world where he gets to live as a hero surrounded by idealized women who fawn over him while he fights monsters that are just his mother telling him to get a job and other people telling him to be responsible. This manga feels like something that this character would make. Go read Bibliomania, art is fantastic and the story is pretty good as well.

This could have been a story about making the best of your situation and becoming the best you can be despite not getting your lot in life (that could have thematically tied into their childhood as orphans). Instead we got another revenge story where the proraganist gets betrayed and gets all edgy.

I feel like the author was a kid who played dps was forced to play healer for a bit and was mad and throwing a tantrum for having to play healer

This reminds me of one time I asked my dad for a donut but he got me an éclair and I was mad at him. Except, I was like 10 at the time. 💀

i remember playing as a healer in an fps game, and like bro, i have 2 kills and 30 whole ass revives and was top of the leaderboard on objectives alone, lmao its such a wild moment, i basically the one who kept the whole team alive and kicking

When you started explaining the manga it sounded like a cool concept, but as you went on I realized it's so bad because it takes itself way too seriously, could've probably been pretty good if the MC's hate for the goddess was over the top on purpose comedically, kinda like kazuma or something

When the mc is this unlikable I find myself praying on their downfall all the time. And whenever the author tries to build suspense by making it seem like the MC might die, I actually cheer - only to remember that the plot armor will surely save them. It goes a full circle and Im sad again for all the wrong reasons. To an outsider it might look like Im worried for the mc when they're in a predicament. Still I love reading shitty mangas such as this one. At least I get to laugh.

That reminded me about an isekai manga I read once a few years ago, where the MC had modern military weapons available to them. It seemed very clich at first, from the MC being op, women fawning at his feet and 1 dimensional villains oppressing the common folk. That's until, after raiding the manor of a greedy noble, who oppressed their people.... The generic MC, while going to celebrate with a feast, was knocked unconscious by the noble's remnant forces, while walking alone in one of the manor's gardens and, ALL OF A SUDDEN, *there's a 3 year time skip* and the MC is a sex slave being trafficked on a ship (probably to another continent), lost all his powers and non of his friends will ever find him again... What ..? AMD year... It's like a whole new story begins... It was the most bizarre change of pace I've ever seen in a manga EVER, it's so weird I sometimes doubt that manga ever existed, but it does and it's out there somewhere.

this has to be the funniest video of mocking something I once read, but fr tho, it looked like a temper tantrum when he said "I HATE THE GODDESS" like what she even do, your friends betrayed you because you didn't show for the broken job you did get, you're just incompetent because you are too focussed on your stupid fucking sword skills 😭but abandoning your friend because he's useless and pretty much your family is a dick move, but that aint the goddess' fault tho, indirectly maybe, but you coulda changed that fate yourself and if your friends weren't dicks it also could've been different

"Being a healer is like being a parent" that could be a fun concept for a comedy manga, like the MC could be the healer that deals with stress and concerns caused by their slightly too easy going fellow party members, but instead of the basic nonsense like in this manga the characters are actually a good group of people that genuinely care about each other, heck mabye the mage could've learned some support magic to help take some stress a way from the healer lol.

I've just discovered two things: a disgustingly terrible manga; and a disgustingly good channel.

This, Redo of healer and Shield hero shows that those authors don't know why people pick non-dps classes(because maybe they play at most DQ). Like sure, in a ton of times you pick those classes because no one else will, but the other reasons are in short: Tank= Arguably the real leader. Decides when, where and how many enemies the party will engage with. Creates space so DPS and Healers can fight safely. Healer/support= Decides how long the fight will last. Fixes mistakes, empowers people, debuff enemies (being a nuisance to enemies and getting away with it is part of the fun). Decides who lives who dies. Also, those authors seem to forget that even the most pacifist of healers/tanks have DAMAGE SKILLS/WEAPONS for a reason!!!Even Overwatch Mercy and LoL Yuumi, so they can defend themselves. Hell, in FF14 the "feed the blood lilly" mantra was a thing for a reason. In old FFs, white mages had one of the most powerful damage spells (holy). Tanks arguably have similar damage to dps so they can attract agro, because getting the agro from enemies is how a tank works (See River Shen, brawlers in general, any FF14 or WoW tank and any Overwatch tank, YES EVEN REIN). A story where a hero learns that there is more to a non-dps class would be amazing because people who pick those classes have all been there at some point. But those authors don't know why those classes exist and why they attract players, so they make them suck.

Hell literally the archetypical healer class is the cleric from dungeons and dragons (dnd inspired a ton of early rpgs especially final fantasy whose first game deadass stole monsters from it). And in first edition it was essentially a weaker fighter that learned to heal eventually while in 3 and 3.5e clerics were arguably the most broken class in the game because of how obscene their buffs and debuffs were while not being half bad fighters even without them. And nowadays in 5e clerics still trucking along as a powerful support that can pack a major punch.

I read this a while back and really liked this. Its a whole ass edgefest with funny and endearing moments. Theres also a better one with great art by COIN440 called "Ansatsu Skill de Isekai Saikyou~ Renkinjutsu to Ansatsujutsu O Kiwameta Ore wa, Sekai O Kage Kara Shihai suru~". Man this took a lot of time to type.

You CAN "iaido" with with a straight sword, but it involves using the false edge (the side facing you when you grip it). It's a weird lil thing but it is done in Fiore's manuscript on Italian Longsword... This looks like shit though and no anime or movie has ever used the false edge for anything so who cares.

I'm convinced the only reason he was made an orphan was to avoid the privilege entitlement accusations (It didn't help...)

I have a nice anime recommendation its called delicious in dungeon it actually focuses around a dragon and cooking food and trust me the last episode they just released turns from cooking comedy and does a full one 180 to action The animation they did which reminds of you jujitsu kaisen ( you probably won't see this but why the not? )
