The first page of your #1 sketchpad there.. maybe you are embarrassed by it, but you don't know how uplifting that actually is to us mortals to see that you used to make bad drawings too. Thanks for that!

@@soybasedjeremy3653 I know that. I was hoping to see this person's skills. I visited their channel, hoping to see some of their art, and I saw nothing.
I think so many young artists would have an incredible boost in confidence if they saw Stan's "Box-01" drawings. So many artists give up when they compare themselves to others who have already gotten 10+ years of PROFESSIONAL work behind their belt, and they don't realize they're doing perfectly fine on their artistic journeys
Thank you Proko for making drawing more accessible to us all ❤
Fan and friend, here. Love Stan. Great, great job on this short film. Bravo.

Crazy I actually grew up with Proko back in high school beginning my artistic journey. I can't imagine a world without any Proko videos when I started out. I think many of us who grew up with Proko can say that.
He's not just an art god, but a full 360° entepreneur, that's so inspiring.

@@Tehrawrzorz that's like saying you don't have an art bone in your body when you've never done art. You totally 100% can if you try!
This is history happening right in front of us. Thank you Slew and Proko team for this documentary, it's a joy and privilege to watch art, business and art education revolution rolling out and be part of it. This for some weird reason reminds me Andy Warhol's films... :)
Proko is great if you already know about what he's talking (he makes good recaps). One guy that really thought me for free with hours and hours of live drawing is Prof Marc Leone and his free Drawing Database youtube channel from the University of Kentucky. Perspective, anatomy, art history, you name it, he has hour long tutorials. I recommend going through them with pencil in hand, go through those solid, solid build up of knowledge and them come to Proko for a quick reminder.

The way i learn to draw is mostly inspired by proko and i always had fun while learning from his videos
Slew and Stan both teaching the world art skills one video at a time! Can't wait to watch this doc over lunch :)
Thank you so much for doing these documentaries/interviews! They’re inspiring as well as helping to understand how much time/skill goes into creating so much high quality work.
i started watching proko when i started my first art class 6 years ago and my first two years my drawing improved massively so thank you stan you created a hole generations of artist around the world
It makes complete sense that editors would remote in to use the better hardware for editing, I just wouldn't have expected it
I was hyped to watch this one since the Watts video was out, thank you so much for sharing and I'm excited to see the next one!
This is amazing!! This is my favorite series you do never quit❤️❤️❤️
I was cool seeing this new side of proko i have been watching their videos learning but this was just ❤
Great video, thank you. I love Proko’s channel, I love how he breaks down how to draw complex structures for anyone to be able to understand and follow to improve their drawing skills. As a school art teacher, I regularly recommend my students watch Proko’s tutorials to help them develop their portraiture drawing skills.
Great video! I've been learning art online for around 15 years. I still remember when Proko was brand new! Seeing the original Proko website pop up on screen brought back memories haha. Artists nowadays are absolutely blessed to have someone like Stan putting out such amazing work. The content that existed before him, while wonderful, simply does not compare in complexity and production quality. His channel and website have become essential tools for learning how to draw online. I remember when I was in middle school, I used to dream of the day that I could finally afford to purchase some of his lessons. He absolutely deserves all the success that has come his way.
i really got emotional watching this, proko really pushed me so far, i owe him a lot. Thank you Mr. Proko!
Great video, Slew! After watching Proko for some years now, it was only very recently that I caught a 5year old video of his 'beginnings' (trained at Jeff Watts studio, to one-man operation via his parents' house, to big-time professional studio with a team) to world-wide acclaim now. Yours is a wonderful interview and tour of current Proko that captures all this. Stan's is a story of vision and perseverance. Certainly he had a great mentor and teacher in Jeff Watts who saw Stan's potential. And it's all history from there. Very inspiring! And BTW, 'hats off' to you for your new art school venture. I'm sure, just like Stan P, your passion for art and art instruction will lead to ever greater success. I certainly hope so. Once again, thanks for this inspiring video on 'Proko'.
heck yeah dude
Exactly the analogy with language learning is what comes into my mind too when I think about Art (talent vs practice). Totally agree with Proko/Stan.
Proko is amazing, his positive attitude has motivated so many people, myself included
Hullo SLEW, fantastic video and seeing where you get your inspiration is quite telling too! I am excited for you and your studio and hoping your dreams keep coming true for you and all of your students !
Man Being an artist that mostly learned through Proko's videos. I am very grateful of their existance... because where I lived there was no options for me to learn draftsman ship and representational art. His videos means alot to me and I'm glad you made a documentary about him!
great video. Good to see the spotlight on proko hes a legend
My teacher Proko!! so nice to watch this!! Thank you Slew ❤
Very cool behind the scenes look. Thanks for making this!
It's incredible to see what an influence Stan had and still has on the art community! Thanks for the insights - great video! ❤
Yeah Proko taught me so much, thank you!🙏
I love Proko. I learned about the Loomis Method from him and my drawing skills have improved so much. It was like he switch a light on in a dark room.
Stellar Documentary! You did such an amazing job! Its really cool to get a more behind the scenes look at Stan and the Proko team. Thanks!!
‘Love it! Thanks for this wonderful video, More power to you and to Stan!
Awesome video dude!! Very cool to see behind the scenes
this video is simply outstanding!!!
I’ve been a fan of @ProkoTV since the beginning! I always wanted a “behind the scenes” look at his work so this was a joy to watch :)
Thank you for helping me in my art journey
Superb insight.
Glad to see my two favorite artist in same video ❤ love you slew❤
Nice man, this was great!
I’m Grateful for the many free lessons with invaluable knowledge. Thank you Slew, Stan and the Proko team.
I learned to draw anatomy with those early Proko videos years ago. I instantly recognized the high quality on production and content and learning curve, there was nothing like Proko at that time on any video platform (at last not for free). Those times where awesome :) Today, when someone see my drawings and say he wants to learn, the first think i say is "if you are serious, then start by watching Proko early videos on you tube"
This is really great. Cool to see some behind the scenes of proko
Proko is definitely an entrepreneur and I am trying to Teach other artists through my nonprofit, that they can learn the business side of being a professional artist as well. It just proves that a lot of hard work is involved in making dreams come true. Dedication, integrity, honesty, and generosity. All are a part of what Proko has displayed in his business practices.
Stan is the BEST! Great Video :)

Proko is the goat
I have learned a lot from Proko. When someone asks me who to watch in YT to learn to draw, Proko always comes to my mind first.
Proko’s free anatomy course was MONUMENTAL for me to learn, sharpen and perfect my anatomy skills. His final and engaging way to teach made all the difference, and as a human he’s pretty awesome too!!
So inspirational ❤❤❤ Saying this as an architect with teaching drawing as a passion business!
That's awesome, when I found Proko content was the first time where "hmmm oh that's a way to learn it correctly" cause other videos on KZread years ago were more about shortcuts not teaching fundamentals
Nicely done!
This is awesome! So inspiring! Thanks so much Stan and Slew! I live in a small town with limited art resources. And I dream of creating a non profit art studio.
He is a great teacher, learned a lot from him.
So true this guys a legend! He will be remembered for teaching a lot of people how to draw
That was excellent 、thanks for doing this guys!
Proko is a treasure!
It's cool to see where Proko Started, the man is a master of this era of youtube, but seeing his humble begginings really hammers it down that anyone can learn if they give it the time and effort
There is a thing that I just can’t stand about this video: it didn’t last longer. I enjoyed every second, thank you so much!
Proko OUR HERO
4:08 sealed the deal with my self-doubt that i really can do it. I love seeing incredible artists showing their early works. Awesome video!
I owe stan proko my basic knowledge on shadings and forms
He didn't "teach me how to draw" I have another approach to learning, but based on that word "approach" I thank Proko for showing me different paths and approaches, he created more than a channel, he created a community of artists, teachers, enthusiasts and many other categories of people who work in visual art, this guy is very good and deserves congratulations.
My brother Eric lives there.🙏♾️❤️
Even Stan wasn't as great as he is right now back when he was starting at Watt's Atelier. We all start somewhere. Thanks for this content, truly inspirational.
Thank you Proko❤
Proko is the man!!!
If it were not for Proko I wouldn't have ever been exposed to the resources and insights that allowed my self-teaching from lesser than good stick figure to classic portraitures in just 4 years of diligent study and practice.
this is amazing :)) i lvoe Stan, i love Proko, and it's a treat peeking behind the curtain! beautiful intreview, too!
Slew thanks for sharing. I think back to your original studio and your desire to move to connect with other artist. Now i see you traveling to far places to connect.. and that make me wonder what your future studio plans look like? In this new and very virtual world.. you can be anywhere.. and connect. By the way.. i miss the vibe of the old studio.
thankful for Proko!
Great work 👏

Thank you for sharing, this video is so awesome, you both are so inspiring to me and maybe to all of us, hope we all can achieve our goals someday thanks again for sharing, may God bless you for all you all done for us here
i learned most of my figure drawings through his videos back in 2013. Really a great and talented person
Skelly documentary next 😎
Bro build a community and brought best people from every corner...
Proko is an absolute LEGEND.
ngl i let resumed drawing again bc of this, many thanks xD question, how do you get the ratio right without having to mark body proportions?
I felt so sad when he talked about his business expenses and salary. I wished I could help him in some way! He is my art inspiration.
Stan the man
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
20:58 Wow - that Eliot Goldfinger Anatomy book has seen some action!
Just like we talk about Loomis and other masters of the past, hundred years from now people will talk about Proko
Amazing and inspiring 🎨☑️
Such a small world because i have followed jeff watts for years and took his dad robert’s advice on a few books that influenced my art style, very cool slew
I LOVE STAN PROKOPENKOOOOO!!!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

The Man Who Taught the World How to Draw in PROFESSIONAL WAY
This video turned out to be a bragging rights video
I've been waiting for this video for a month! It's like an early birthday present haha
i was one of his first viewer, at that time i did not understand due to my lack to serious interest, then 5 years later he blew up and i picked up art seriously. I cannot thank him enough for his videos

The way Stan look at you at 1:46 😳
