I feel so bad for the guy he just wanted to save his mother but he took a very wrong step in that process. He was a kind guy tho he tried to pay for his wrong doings by helping them. And he felt responsible and guilty for what he has done unlike his father.

This was such a sad story. I know the guy was wrong but I can't help but feel bad for him. Being held captive for 9 years must have unhinged him, but he still had some human feelings left in him shown by his willingness to save his mother, but went about it in the worst way possible, then felt guilty and tried to help both the guy and the girl who were suffering because of his deed. But even after that, that psychopathic father won't leave him & his mom alone. In the end, his whole life was destroyed thanks to a crazy psyhopath and he, trying to escape him and save his mother, inadvertently, ended up destroying other lives. It was so heart breaking and yet very realistic!!

Over here, he was a guy born in prison, got freed and not helped by cops, and relentlessly stalked by his psychopathic dad and seeing no way out, he took the most drastic and horrible decision to save his mother. But in the end felt remorse for his actions, and tried to do something for the victims of his crime. I am not saying he should not be punished or what he did was right, I am saying, it is just sad that how his life turn out to be.

Honestly, tho I'm not knowlegeable in the law and especially not in korean law Sung wo only got 13 years? Seriously ?? Dude killed directly 3 people (the 3 old ladies) committed arson (killing more people as well as committing a lot of property damage) and abducted and tortured someone (granted that someone is his POS serial killer father) Granted he did turn himself in and accepted the guilty verdict and had a "valid" reason to do so but still 13 years is still not nearly enough for all the crimes he did

Yeah, if you go look up the case of the Golden Phone, many of the idols and other stars got disgusting sentences. I am in the UK where a Life-for-Life tarrif has to approved by a government minister called the Home Secretary so generally murder gets between 14 to 25 years behind bars with a long parole period but the fact this bastard idol used his club to sell women into sex rings got *4 YEARS* is beyond comprehension. If you want to know more check out Rotten Mango's documentary on it, it is called the Burning Sun Scandal in case you aren't kpop fans and haven't heard of it. Apologies if you know all about it already. What makes me sick is that people have been jailed for longer for having a loved one's medication in their hand luggage they were carrying around during a trip to another country. One woman got something like a decade for admitting to her accidentally having her nephew's Ritalin from a trip with American family to Disney World. It's illegal to have in Korea as it's an amphetamine and she assumed by reporting she had it, the airport staff would take it and destroy it but she got hit with importing more than 20 pills which they consider intent to deal.

Man ,I never knew that these Korean actors were so good. This was my second story that I watched on this site, and it was so unbelievable for me when I came to understand that it was Korean actors . Oh wow ,this this story blows up my mind .It was so intense and so sad , but also so real . And all because of an illness . Cause the father of Sun moon was ill .And it is why he did all what he did to that teenager who became his lover after .Oh what a sad story. It felt so sad knowing that Ji soo did love Sun moon and did have to die without telling him that.😢. But it was a pleasure watching and hearing it in English language. So good 👍 🇨🇼

What would make sense if he burned the apartment down, while the perpetrator was in the building looking for them because it could get him killed.

Yeah it can be that or it can be because he confessed. Plus, his circumstances also has to be taken into account. He was driven to the edge by his crazy psycho dad and wanting to save his mother. It is not to sympathize but in the drama, the cops did not even do their duty. Even after they complained they did not arrest his dad, leaving him and his mum in a perpetual state of panic!
