This Magical Arpeggio Works Over Minor, Major, Dom7 & Half Diminished Chords 🎸🔥
In my experience, people generally like to over complicate things.
Especially music!
My mission is to make playing gypsy jazz guitar as uncomplicated as possible.
In this lesson I'm sharing one example of how "a little can go a long way."
In other words how we can use a single, simple arpeggio in our solos over four types of chords.
The arpeggio is Bb-D-G
It's a very basic Gm arpeggio starting on the minor 3rd Bb.
It sounds fantastic over these chords:
1. Gm
2. Bb
3. C7
4. Em7-5
I share much more of my system for using a small number of scales and arpeggios to improvise over a large number of tunes inside my Gypsy Jazz Transfusion Club membership site.
🔥The Gypsy Jazz Transfusion Club🔥 is our private online community where I can help you personally with your gypsy jazz guitar playing, and where you can access many hours of exclusive, premium on-demand video training that will massively accelerate the growth of your guitar playing skills.

Funny, it never dawned on me. Are you getting better at teaching as you teach? Thru my entire life most music teachers I've encountered drone thru lessons like a never ending loop. You've done it again Maestro Robin, you break it down so simple! I've struggled for decades trying to get my head around this particular genre of music. And my hat's off to you, I'm almost as happy as you! You always look like you just won the lottery! Hope all's well with you and your loved ones... ciao

This Magic Arpeggio is the musical equivalent of a " master key" it lets you get into several different keys and opens up the dialogue in each of them, what a genius idea Robin. Every guitarist should learn these arpeggios to transition from one key to another. There will be other "master keys" too , and these will open up the entire fretboard to new improvising ideas. Thanks Robin.
