Classic Country has so many surprises in store for y'all! This song crossed over into the pop chart's. It was not uncommon for big country hits to make it in the pop world.

Love love love Classic Country. Those lyrics were so beautiful. What woman would not want to hear her man say those words to her? So respectful of women too. We need more songs like that in the world today. Great pic, melted my heart. :)

As a child I was raised around Freddie Hart, I'm 60 now he and my grandmother were very close, so close that he became the god parent to my little sister, we have many casual family photos with Freddy. He is from a bygone era of true gentleman and he was loved and respected by the country community and Beyond. Referred to as one of the nicest people that anyone could meet and routinely heard from everyone in the music industry at that time, he played with every major country star at that time and was known for his great lyrics , it's obvious his charm had some longevity, we loved him dearly!

Freddie Hart was a great man and a dear friend. He was so humble and kind and always loved his fans. Easy Loving was a smash #1 for him in 1971 on the country charts. It also reached #17 on the pop charts in 1971. The CMA gave him the award for song of the year 2 years in a row 1971 and 1972. This was the first time that had ever happened and did not happen again until George Jones He Stopped Loving Her Today won in 1980 and 1981. Easy Loving was also the first country song that had the word "sexy" in the lyrics. Thank you for this review and helping to keep Freddie's music going.

Your reaction to my all time favorite song "I don't have anything" by the Skyliners was a real treat. By the way the high pitch vocals were done by the girl in the group. If you get a chance another great song from the era is "My Teenage Sonata" by Sam Cooke. Check it out, I bet you wife will love it.

FFreddie was one of 14 kids, and was raised on a farm in Missippi. He wrote this smash hit song that crossed over into pop before it was all done. Freddie learned and taught marshal arts while he was in the Army, and for a while afterwards. I think the marriage of music arrangement to singer as was masterfully done in this song, is the best I have ever heard. Other artists recorded this song, two of whom were Conway Twitty and Loretta Lyn, George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
