@@yahalomren it was when I was like... 12? So my memory is a bit vague. Apparently Scotty was pretty great, there was a lot of paperwork that her parents actually signed *before* the prank without telling her (obviously). We actually watched the episode in class after it was released

This show is now making me paranoid about some guy fucking coming up behind me in my own house telling me to be part of his pp show

Kurtis mentioned that the sound effects in the show are overplayed, but then uses the "Bruh" and "Oof" and the wet fart sound and all the other sound edits he does. I'm not saying he shouldn't use them, but you can't tell me "Bruh" isn't the most overused sound effect since 2018. :P

I don't hate the sound effects Kurtis uses, I just found it funny he complained about overused sound effects but employs some of the most overused contemporary sounds. I called this era of wholesome pranks as the Just for Laughs era. The victim is always supposed to either be concerned for someone who got hurt, or just confused. Makes for good waiting room TV too as all the jokes were visual.

I love the bit at 5:47 so much. It often takes a guest to get Kurtis all that giggly, so seeing him try hard not to laugh at his own joke while also just clearly having a great time is just such a joyous and funny sight to behold.

I've watched a few episodes of the UK and US versions, both good, but AUS was definitely my favourite, plus they definitely had a higher budget, though it did come out a fair bit later (I think mid to late 00's)

CBBC used to do this show called just kidding where the kids would get together and prank random people

There was a version of this show too on CBBC with legendary icon Barney Harwood (Blue Peter, Bear Behaving Badly) presenting it too! Then they stopped making & airing it, Barney let his career sort of take a backseat then a few years later Just Kidding would start airing (although I think it's actually Canadian - as in they didn't remake a UK version of Just Kidding)

The Australian version was the pinnacle of television
