@@caitlinmariereacts Only fly in the ointment is the court case re "Shake It Off", apparently that in August now: she's got rid of one case, one to go. btw she cannot start working on Reputation until November 2022 (5 years after release). I think she has already re-recorded BOTH "1989" and "Speak Now" hence the merch drop. HOWEVER as Ashley pointed out they are OLD style IP so has she got the rights now to use them, they aren't marked TV in any way shape or form and are they just old merch she has "bought" to sell off? Lots of questions no real answers. EDIT Should of course be Ally (Sheehan) not Ashley.

Nailed the bridge! the ONLY VERSION! Lovely. I think about the bridge as HER coming back to what she needs. The masters. She said goodbye to them, it nearly killed her, she fell to her knees, but you run to what you need. Here she is….owning her masters! Lovely lovely lovey song and reaction.

Blondie knew This Love was a fan favorite, sleeper hit so she decided to feed our unhinged, ethereal souls. 🤪💙

I love how in (Taylor's Version) of this love (and a lot of other rerecorded songs of hers actually) I can finally HEAR all the instruments in their complexity that used to be so in unison/overshadowed by the rest of the production and vocals... And I love how she's enunciating those filler words she used to cut off or not say as clearly, but that always were a part of the official lyrics.

i DEFINITELY agree on the enunciating! there are so many times, on this album in particular where i'm like 'wait what did she say' and all the rerecordings have been much clearer

No because This Love & Clean are also my favs off 1989!! This version is superior. Also reminder that she might drop Bad Blood (TV) since it’s gonna be featured in “Super-Pets” in late July.

See how she changed the lyrics from "and i could go on and on" to " Baby, I could go on and on" and "Flickered in my mind for only you" to "Flickered in the night for only you" 😭🤧

I screamed when I saw the announcement that This Love Taylor’s Version was being released. It was the first song I loved off of 1989.

“This Love” was never a skip for me, I brutally love it and it’s easily one of the best ballads by Taylor. I honestly prefer the “original” version, but this one is amazing as well.

Yeah, I remember that there was a time where people would say that its a skipable song and I was shocked at their behaviour.. Really glad that it is finally getting the attention that it always had deserved ❤🙌🏻

I feel like 1989 HAS to be next but I feel like after she released Wildest Dreams and we got Red TV, who knows. So many possibilites. Right now my brain is here (and clinging to life): Option 1: 1989 is next and could be released on fri, may 13th. Option 2: we get a double drop with 1989 and Speak Now (since we got merch from both at the same time) Option 3: because she wrote This Love by herself, it may be an easter egg for her releasing Speak Now TV (since she wrote that by herself.) Option 4: she knows we are consumed with 1989 vs Speak Now, she will drop Debut Option 5: she called the merch "The Old Taylor", maybe she will drop all 3. maybe its a Rep egg and we'll get all 4 in December of 2022. Option 6: she got all her masters back and there won't be rerecords or we get them anyway I've been a swiftie for a year, this is all too much, respect for the long time fans. how are you still alive after years of theories!

The bridge it's just... FUCKING GOOD

The fact that I have always ADORED This Love and now it might finally get some recognition makes me SO HAPPY. There is just an emotionally magical feeling to this song that nobody can touch. From the lyricism to the vocals to the production, everything about this song is simply just perfection. With that being said, everything about this ALBUM is PERFECTION!! 1989 TV will make me go absolutely feral. I'm most excited for Style, Out of the Woods, Clean, Wonderland and of course ALL THE VAULT TRACKS!!

This was definitely my fave from that album. Is the type of song you listen to while riding your bike on tree lined streets during late spring, when all the trees are full and alive, blue skies with scattered clouds.

Girl, I feel you. This Love is one of my faves from 1989 and it also means a lot to me and I've been always so upset that it was sooo underrated and now it gets the respect and the recognition she deserves. Literally, I started bawling my eyes out after she started singing and I couldn't stop even after the song ended. This song is soooo relevant for me too now and I hope that from now on I can listen to it from a different (a happier) perspective, because last time I was so heartbroken when I was listening to this on repeat.🥺🥰

I am curious to know what her tour will look like and what will even be the setlist. She never got to tour Lover, and since the shutdown she's released Folklore, Evermore, Fearless TV, Red TV, and soon 1989 TV. Like she will just need a whole 3 day-festival in each city at this point.
