This Lofi Setup Always Blows My Mind
Музыка
its so nice to play with this setup!
one pocket operator is used only for drums and bass
- the other one for (chopped) samples
- a bit of mediocre scratching with the sc500 turntable on top
- mixing the ingredients with the bastl dude mini mixer and voilà!
you got a lofi cake!
EDIT: because so many people are curious, here is the detailed list of what you see in the video
and what sample i used:
2x pocket operators, the k.o! (the sampler) in the 33 and the 133 version ("og" and "streetfighter")
the cases for them are by beatmakersboutique
bastl instruments dude (with a bunch of stickers on it) - the little mixer. its now discontinued, but the new model is available and its called "bestie" by bastl instruments
and finally - THE TURNTABLE: its a sc500 by the small germany company portablismgear. they build a slightly bigger version, the sc1000.
one person asked, so i share it with out: its weight is 198.2 gramm
the sample you hear is, i think (!!!), from a old samplepack called "loops from 84'" i had on my harddrive flying around (www.msxaudio.com/products/loo...) i am not sure if its on the first or second volume, but i am pretty sure its on them.

@@jostafro4967 i highly can recommend to get the koala sampler app. get all the upgrades you have to pay for, the samurai and the mixer upgrade - its with all maybe about 10~15 dollar? max(?) its really _dead cheap_ in comparison to what it can do. its just *bonkers* how powerful this is. you can just throw away most of the hardware samplers that cost 300-500 dollar. its mad. i even bought myself a tablet for it, because its more comfortable to use with a bigger surface. and even with this: its cheap! the flip sampler by andrew huang is also nice and worth to check out - costs about 10 bucks(?) - check out youtube tutorials, there are plenty and then just start. there is no wrong and everybody started somewhere - but with this devices you already got a _really_ powerful tool even pros like to use - for the price of a few cups of coffee basically.

This is really fantastic! My only gripe with the Po 33s that keeps it from being my perfect portable sampler is I wish it could store more than 16 patterns. The midi data really doesn't take up that much space, 8 dunno why they couldn't implement banks of note data. I can deal with the 40 sec and 4 voice limitations and the mono, but I can't seem to squeeze out more than a 2 minute track without it getting repetitive. Love what you did within those limitations though.

its made by a small company with just a few persons and the device is, since years, in a kind of beta-state, but its works just like a champ. i don't know about any device like this, the smallest "real" turntables, with a bunch of nice "real vinyls" costs nearly the same - but its big and clunky, even the little turntables. but this thing - man! you just put it in your bag and scratch everywhere! on a plane, waiting somewhere, in the car, at work, outside.... its in terms of cost/value, for me, one of the best device purchases i ever did. i can recommend it very much to anybody missing nice scratches as a cherry on top on their tracks. i tried it before with some freakish ableton-workaround, but there was always the feeling that its programmed, synced and not "real" and with the feeling of manipulating the sound with your fingers.
