Apparently there are some facilities that sort the trash stream mechanically for recyclables, but I think these are few, and I think mainly for metals? I can't find much info, Texas apparently sort their trash, but I didn't find out if they lack a separate recycling stream.

You should look into what happens to all that stuff that separate it out for recycling It’s pretty depressing and will definitely make you realize it’s not worth your time

In a few weeks, the smell from any of those hidden potatoes will make regular trash smell like roses. XD

Simple fix: Extend back wall up higher 😮 say 4 feet. Should solve the problem instead of winning about it 😅.

They’re dumping it into a trailer, and a truck comes and hooks on to it, and takes that trash to the landfill

Thank you. There is a load that comes in every few weeks that has a load of 8-10 inch pvc piping for plumbing I think. It’s all cut up and when it gets dumped it falls out of the truck at lighting speed and goes boom. It’s satisfying to watch.

Thanks for watching! Yes, there is a lot involved in the waist management industry. That’s the reason why I started making these videos is to show people what happens after your garbage gets dumped in the garbage truck at the curb.

6:48 is my spririt truck/animal , that thing knows how to dump.

J'ai travaillé dans le secteur du recyclage de déchets en tant que conducteur de camion remorque avec grue. Certaines bennes à la déchetterie sont triées mais peuvent finir au même endroit tout comme les poubelles. L'amiante qui finit dans le sol , un godet de terre et c'est réglé .... Mon expérience date depuis une 15 années. Pas sûr que tout soit réglo de nos jours...😊

The pit is a big trailer which is then taken to the actual landfill. This is just a transfer station. They do it this way when the actual dump is too far outside of the area the trash is produced in, so it's less distance the collection trucks have to travel.

Its the same garbage. Its not like garbage on one side and recyclables on the other. That may have been the intended purpose of this truck. Somebodies local government paid extra for it no doubt. Waste of waste management money. 😂
