Enjoying all the way from South Africa!
Awesome video Josh. I really liked your intro with the close ups of the rod, reel and lures. Funny how the black bream didn't want to join the party, but the good old flatties came for a look! I've had a couple of sessions lately trying to catch whiting on surface lures........I've "got the gear but no idea" as they say. I just can't seem to get the twitch and wind right - I'll persist until I get it right. Keep the great action coming....and all the best for work and Christmas!
Definitely getting that top water lure. Cheers mate I'm learning something on every video and I've fished for 40 years.

noticed 5mins in you lost your grub and hook. just wondering how often snags like that happen in areas like this? in the last week alone I've gone through 12 jighead and soft plastics to just rocks in the Hopkins river, which makes me question using them at all in areas like this despite the reason I began is because numerous people do

was the Daiwa slippery dog 65mm or 80mm
Catch and cook soon
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzread.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
great video just coming down to mollymook on jan 7th seeing if you are keen to have a fish are you near there?
Hey mate I was just letting yk if u use a blade clip u can just swap lures easier without wasting leader

@Theloveablemess

@@joshdfishing can’t cope a spike if you get them by the mouth. A thumb cut off a gardening glove or some bicycle inner tube over the thumb are great ways to prevent “flatly thumb”. Not trying to be dismissive or negative, it’s hard to convey tone over the internet. Keep up the good content.
