    I’ve been dealing with tightness in the back of my knee and calves. And when walking I sometimes feel a pop in the back of my knee. And my foot also has tightness. Could this be the problem

    Ouch, that definitely needed releasing. I had a full achilles repair in Nov 2014 and twanged my calf a couple of weeks ago and made it worse yesterday dealing with my horse who had colic, trying to stop her rolling so this one really made sense digging in my heels and swinging out of her until the meds kicked in. The initial twang was from the soleus being over tight. I find it really hard to keep stretched. I hope I can find the video (part 1). The one in the description links to a neck video.     I had a bad pole vaulting accident and I screwed up my ankle pretty badly. The injury happened roughly 4 months ago and the doctors have identified that I have a bone bruise on my talus. Along with the bone bruise I also sprained my foot as well as tearing a variety of things in my ankle. (my foot and most of my tears have healed) I was put in a cast and got out of it about 2 months ago. since then I have had really bad lower calf tightness down alongside of my achilles. i’ve done lots of stretching and massages but nothing is loosing it up/relieving any pain. my trainer thinks that it is just tightness from the cast but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better unlike my other tightness on other parts of my ankle which went away after a few weeks. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

    Sounds like it's either adhesion (all of the videos on our channel) or protective tension to stop putting load on inflamed tissues that haven't healed. If it's the latter, it's time, rest, diet, and sleep. The former, you'll need adhesion release.

    Hard to say without an exam. Your best bet is an Integrative Diagnosis doctor to find the adhesion in the whole calf and foot.

    Not in that order. Calf issues will compound ligament adhesion.

    I have a question I have been struggling with tightness in my calves and soleus as well as pain in my achilles tendon for months now and no matter how much I massage and stretch these muscles and tendons dont seem to be getting any better and the pain grom my achilles just gets worse with exercise. What would you recommend to be the best course of action to resolve this issue?

    If this has been going on for months, it could be an adhesion issue. Have you seen other doctors? Where are you located?

    ​@@drchrisstepien It started about 6 months ago when I was playing soccer for 8 sessions a week. I saw a doctor when It started getting bad and she said my achilles was strained due to overuse from soccer. I went to her for cross friction every week and she gave me stretches to do and it got a lot better but its still not 100% fixed. I recently began massaging and doing cross friction on my achilles as well as using a massage gun on my leg and stretching it so we'll see how that goes but I'm not sure if this is the correct treatment . I am from South Aftica.

    I have a question. During running ~10/15 mins I start to experience bilateral pins and needles in the sole of my feet and numbness and tightness in the calves also. With addition of shin pads around the calves this onset occurs quicker. I have overpronated feet and a flat arch, I have very limited dorsi and plantar flexion. I have checked to see if it’s a facet or disk problem which I believe it isn’t especially as shin pads decrease onset time, so am wondering does this sound like chronic compartment syndrome or is this just a case where my gastro and soleus are too tight and is causing these underling issues. Also another factor is that cycling will not cause these symptoms only running. Many thanks.

    Hi my friend. You 100% have a nerve entrapment because of the P & N. It's mosts likely the tibial nerve or medial plantar nerve in the calf/foot. Could aso be a low back issue too. Can you get checked by an adhesion release provider?

    @@drchrisstepien I don’t believe anyone near does adhesion release but I will check with my clinic next time I’m there, I did have traction for lower back however it didn’t stop symptoms occurring it just stopped low back pain. Is there any tests I can do at home alone or with a partner to differentiate if it’s tibial nerve or plantar nerve.? Many thanks for all the help

    @@legacyrsp Oh boy, you'll likely have to fly to US or you can try providers there and give them 5 visits to get you somoe pecentage of permanent relief. Myofascial therapist

    Sorry to hear that! It sounds like you have a lumbar radiculopathy with L5 or S1 nerve root affected. You can try to deload or strengthen your low back on your own. But issues like this usually require a doctor's treatment.

    @@-xo6883 tried chiropractic adjustments. Didn't help much. Stretching and physiotherapy has the pain in check but nothing concrete.

    The treatment occurred at about 1:51 when the asst stretched the ankle - is that what you mean?
