Sister Amita your work is superb because you are taking huge responsibility (although this is government's work ) . The company from which the plastic wrapper belongs, the same company should recycle its plastic waste and the government should take such rules.

Amrita mam’s business of reviving old techniques , giving rural people employment and solving the plastic problem through reusing it great and I highly appreciate her work But I still think that at the end that product is also a plastic waste that we will have dump in land fills eventually , I think we should more focus on how to less use plastic is ever daily life and research about alternatives of plastic that can potentially replace plastic from our lives There are many alternatives coming up in recent times , what do you think about this brother and I think you should make a video about it

Agree but her bags seem to be reusable while the wrappers she is using are single use plastic! So it makes some difference

Highly commendable idea & work.Generally the focus is on recycle which again increases carbon footprints in the process.But to upcycle is amazingly innovative.I wish we would also have have an upcycle unit in Delhi

Our supermarkets here in Australia recycle soft plastics. You can drop them off there. I'm pretty sure they make things out of them.

The best way to solve a problem is to make that problem as solution to another problem...love the video and your work..

My maternal grandmother had great wisdom regarding reuse of milk packets though she was 8th standard educated. She used to thoroughly wash the inside of the packet after pouring the milk and dry it under sun for a day. Then she would collect them in a grocery bag till they are sufficient to make a bag. Then she would straighten and stitch them into a large bag with a zip. If you go to buy the same bag from market, they would nearly cost upwards of Rs 100 or even 150 per unit.

Wow! Such a great innovation that helps the environment as well as provides work for so many individuals. You’re doing an incredible service for the betterment of our future generations. Hopefully other organizations can continue from her work to do it at a larger scale but keep the charkhas working to help recruit more people.
