G'day Chris, I know what you mean about an 'always handy' little knife that end up in my pocket much more than I planned. Only in my case it's your very own JX3. Oh, how I love that little knife! Now you are on record as not being totally 'over the moon' about your JX3 but for me it's one of the the most comfortable and versatile little knives I own; coupled with LTWK's outstanding fit and finish I always seem to have one really close by. I love them so much I've got three of them! One with an orange handle incase I drop it in the bush. Mind you, I've not tried an Elmaz knife yet so I might make this one my next purchase from the good folk at DLT. Cheers, BH. P.S. Don't like rainy days... stay away from my beautiful home here in Tasmania, it rains a lot, although not as much as in Sydney; folk up there hate to hear that little factoid. P.P.S. I miss the 'swords & sandals' Roman Galley tempo/intro music... always makes me think of Victor Mature... odd.

I am super intrigued by this knife size, and the next couple knives I want are in this range. There's a lot of hype for the big knives but I think the little ones have their place!

Chris that's a nice small knife i believe that that little pocket knife will or has come in maybe some real usage when you you are really busy and you are away from a bigger knife and you pull out that knife and as you might thank that this little pocket knife might not do your job but as you are using it on that bigger task you will be at and your going to thank wow it might be a little bit better job. PEACE

I have the worlds best Elmax knife and I discovered Elmax can rust! I'm hoping my Cruwear knife fares better. I'm a steel noob so pardon my ignorance of the various steel compositions.

I've been saying it for the longest time, smaller, companion sized fixed blade knives are the better option for everyday use. Even with outdoor/bushcraft use your going to find it better and easier to use a smaller knife. I guess more nimble, better control, faster use. On that note you have got to try the NORDSMITH skipjack! I think you'll like it

I know what you mean when some knives take time to grow on you. The para 3 light weight grew on me when i didn't like it at first. I have also realized that i don't like some knives as much as I did when i first got them.

Just curious Chris, do you like or what is your thoughts on the bark river acrylic handle scales, I notice you always seem to go for the black micarta, have you ever had a bark river with something like the frostbite acrylic or carbon fiber or anything with some color? Just curious ?....I love em all!

I have many knives. I just bought a small knife around that size. I like to have knives on me small enough to carry in my front pocket. I only carry my big knives out in the woods. I am the same with my guns. I only carry my smaller guns i can hide when i am in the city.

@@preparedmind101 Thanks for the reply Chris!! I write now because I come from a busy work night at the hospital. I honestly don't think that you are biased in your reviews. I just think that sometimes, for different reasons, you are not exactly free to choose what to review. I had the impression that you often ran to review something that had just come onto the market. Maybe sometimes I would like to see some reviews completely disinterested in what has just been released or what's in fashion, maybe even on knives or steel that have not been on the market for years. And personally I would like to see more videos obout what's going on status of the pieces presented on the channel, if they had problems etc that's all. For example I would love to know if you have changed your mind on the terawa skrama and eventually why. That said, this was of course only my opinion, maybe I'm wrong. Keep up with the good work!!
