Dang! I wish I had seen this earlier. I just passed the return period on a Cidoo V75, which is a great keyboard except they're VIA support is terrible. This full QMK/VIA board has a similar price and actually looks like it uses some of the same parts as the Cidoo (foams, pcb, plate, daugherboard, and a lot of the case design all look identical). Oh well. Great video as always!

This board is made by Zuoya/Cidoo, and goes under the names Cidoo V75, Zuoya LKM81, and now Chosfox CF81. All of them have different outer shapes for the cases, and notably the CF81 doesn't have the dongle storage badge and a different knob, but the internals and sound of all 3 are roughly the same. There's also the FinalKey V81 Plus, but that's a bit of a different model with a screen instead of a knob. The V75 is 130 complete prebuilt (insane value tbh), the LMK81 is 110 barebones, and the CF81 is 132 barebones. I got the LMK81 because the Monsgeek M1 was no longer produced in white, and I vastly prefer it over the silver wired M1 I do also have. LMK81 is relatively muted stock, but with a simple tape mod is sounds very comparable if not better than a Zoom75 which is up over 240. It's not the best if you want foamless hyperclack style setups, but for dry/foamy/poppey setups it does so well.

They really don’t look too similar tho? The chosfox seems more customized to the brand. Not to discredit anything but it seems the chosfox isn’t actually the same as the other 2. The other 2 has wireless and a usb dongle spot along with an rgb strip by the knob.

​@@kaeroseon Look at the internals, look at the layout, the knob is the same as the silver ones just painted over, it's the same board design overall from the same manufacturer... It's just a custom order of a large enough batch size so they got to change the route of the CNC cuts for the exterior of the case, picked the cream coating instead of white/tan of the other models, as well as the PCB features, and a duplicate plate cut from FR4.

I don't like the legends being yellow against the blue but it does give off Starry Night vibes. For the price, it's not bad but still on the pricer side.

I challenge you to mod a keyboard with only masking tape! I have done this to my keyoard, and I was able to make it sound pretty decent if I do say so myself.

The information I have gained from these to make my own keyboard has been brilliant but I don't get why all these keyboard youtubers are weirdly negative about non issues.

What do you think of the k617 if u haven't tried it you dont have to answer it and what causes Buttons to suddenly stop working i used to have a keyboard with blue switches every game i play is with WASD and they stopped working and other button like the space bar stopped as well

I guess you could tape mod it and stuff the bottom of the case with something that'll help dampen it? I suppose you could also holee mode the stabs if it's hot-swappable if you have bandaits anywhere in the house. Not much else you can do if your parents won't get you new switches or even something like lube

Are those set screws? They look like the ones used in lightsabers. Really tiny screws, kinda surprising to see them actually used to hold something together.

The Cidoo V75 on amz for 130 (PREBUILT!), or the LMK81 on Ali for 110 (barebones) are the same board, just different outer CNC cuts and finish colors.
