Well done. I was also a secret bottle of wine a night drinker. Even a bottle and a half some nights. Six weeks of freedom. It's such a relief to be free of it.

Hello Kevin, fabulous video! I watch all your great videos, some I watch twice and often make notes. Some I resonate with more than others, but all teach me something. But today's video is my top favourite! 😀 I was in tears of laughter when you were speaking about the woody characteristics of the wine and how long ago some crafty merchant used the oak contaminated wine as a selling point.😀😀😀 Everything you said, you could have been talking about me. I loved my shiraz and would waffle on about the characteristics etc, which I did truly love. However, I was pretending that was the only reason I was drinking it, because I only bought the good stuff on outings. I drank cheaper, less wonderful wine on my own at home every night, because it was really about the alcoholic buzz I was after. My tears of laughter at the merchant story, turned to tears of recognition of myself. Tears are still falling as I write. This is the one of the many videos I'll rewatch often. Spot on!

Very powerful video. I recognize so much in your story. The excuses you make trying to covince yourself that you don't have a problem because you have a job, pay the bills etc... It takes courage to look in the mirror and face the facts and start the change. This past year has already been an incredible journey and I feel that the best part of my life is about to begin. Thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughs. You are a huge motivation to keep going on!

@@letitiarosenthal2286 I just feel like I have alot to do. I should have done this years ago. I am trying to put my life together and I know I need to start here. Also, I have gained weight from the alcohol so I am trying to put together an exercise routine that suits my age. I have some spine injuries and nerve damage to contend with. I also need to write down the things I see on the lighter side if my journey. 🙂 I think I feel this way because Of my age maybe, but it is never too late!

@@normaemanuel4975 it's normal to feel "behind" these days, things move fast but you're on the right path...don't mind your age either , it's about how it makes you feel as a person ! Good luck

You're never behind. It all starts with the right mindset and then you take it from there. It doesn't matter how slow you go, just that you don't stop. Two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward. It's never to late to start.👊👊👊
