If you ask me, then all the corners are edges, but not all the edges are corners. 😄 But they could have changed up the pattern so it was a little less regular and added false corners, I think it would have made it a little more challenging.

I am not a lawyer, but cursory research suggests that the patent has expired and other companies could take the idea and run with it. They probably couldn't call it The Edge, since that would fall under copyright or trademark which lasts longer. Having said that, I like how the puzzle is designed to stick together even though it has "edge" pieces. Karen was even moving sections of the puzzle around without problem.

  • @ACDBunnie

I love that you mix up the puzzles at the end to make new art pieces. I always think the mix ups look really cool. I also never paid attention to how puzzle pictures have changed over time until you mentioned it. How those random crazy animal prints were an early 2000s thing while the trend for puzzles made today is gradients and like that modern, corporate art style. When I think of puzzles I think of those really simple ones that's like a photo of 2 puppies, but those are really old. It would be cool to see like a video of puzzle trends throughout history, showing how the type of picture on the puzzle has changed.

Usually when I think about the difficulty level I see 2 perspectives: mine, a skilled puzzler, and the other, which is the person that rarely does puzzles. These "extreme" puzzles are usually meant to be difficult for the non-skilled puzzlers, not us lol. It was interesting to watch you do it because you always start by sorting the edge and this time it wasn't really a possibility 😂 but I love how smart they were while designing it, I was afraid it would be like the spilt milk puzzle where the pattern was random and it didn't lock together. Glad it wasn't the case!!

Your last video was randomly recommended to me about six days ago and I went down a rabbit hole just watching your videos for about three days and I keep coming back. It's so calming and interesting. I have to thank you, because of finding your channel I finally completed a 1,000 piece puzzle that's been on my dining room table for about 13 months. I had about a third of it left that I finished in about 4-5 days. And now I'm in a puzzling mood. I put together this 300 piece puzzle that I used to be able to in about an hour as a kid to see if I still had it (I do). And now I'm revisiting an 800 piece puzzle that I got for Christmas while I wait for my two new 500 piece puzzles to arrive. I've found that I love starting my day off drinking my morning coffee and smoothy while working on a puzzle. It's a nice, calm start of the day.

This type of pet image was made a lot in the early 2000's. I saw it on stickers and elementary school valentine's and stuff. I don't know if anyone liked them or if companies made it up, and consumers didn't take care what designs they bought for kids. I always thought they looked unsettling, even as a child.

Like, many people would probably have done The Edge last on the cat picture anyway, since there's so little information from the visuals. The Mona Lisa picture you did looked like a really satisfying strategy to use! Makes me want to try out a many small images type of puzzle like that.

I would love to try one. I've done a few early 1990's F.X. Schmid puzzles that have a lot of interior pieces with flat sides so that makes it difficult to get the edge done early on. I did one a few weeks ago 1500pc and finally got the last true edge piece with only about 40 pieces remaining.

Edge - Have you seen the video over on the “Stuff Made Here” channel? Jigzila, a puzzle solving robot. He gives it an all white puzzle to solve!!! Anyway, I’m sure that you have been told about this about a million times, but hey, I just wanted to be the million and 1th person to let you know.

I came to warn her about the robot too, it uses AI so it may view Karen as a threat and send a terminator back in time to terminate her mom.🤣

I don't know if you heard of the Wasgij Mystery Puzzles. The concept is based on the theme of the puzzle artwork on the box who represents what the characters are looking at. You must therefore use your imagination and rely on the clues in the artwork to reconstruct the image. i had one little and it took me days ahah. Love your videos btw! :))

I came across you channel and I like the different puzzles you do. At the moment I am doing a 1000 piece Harry Potter movies posters and I am starting from movie one then to two, ect rather then starting from the borders. I like to start with sections first(with colours) I find it is easy instead if looking for the border pieces first and is way faster. Keep up the good work. I also finished a 500 piece Cat puzzle which it the highest piece Puzzle I have ever done. Took a whole day even with breaks and stretching(which I made sure I ate, drank and stretch my legs too

Thank you for the vid ! Glad to see you do a puzzle that doesn t give you too much trouble this time ^^ Also, are the puzzles recent. It seems logical that they would include as much as they can in an early patent, so they can produce these new ideas over the following years (which they might if this one works well)
