I have to say, I massively respect Connery for doing the voice work. He was way into his 70s back then and it would've been very easy to refuse this modern telegame pish posh. But he did it anyway and it was, for better or worse, his last Bond performance.

The multiplayer for this game was a whole different game than the single player. If you know you know

I loved this game on PS2. Completed it so many times, but bloody hell. The whole 007 moments I used to think were in the film. Not sure what film the developers seen, but wasn’t From Russia With Love. But the car levels were incredible

The reason it's so different from the film is due to very complicated rights issues that meant they couldn't use SPECTRE amongst other things, meaning they had to substitute them with a different organisation called OCTOPUS and also change up the story a lot

Funny, I played the game first, then was disapointed when I watched the movie.

This game is an anomaly when you think about what makes up the total package. The PS2 era was a wild but exciting one that's sorely missed today.

I had this game on PS2, and vividly remember that past a point they stopped giving you (on easy difficulty, mind you) more than 3-4 rounds per ammo pick-up so you rarely had enough to get through a fight

The boat levels were mad difficult. No armor or health.

This was one of my favourite games in my teens. Haven't played it in years.

This and the Everything or Nothing were just awesome to play when I was younger. It was very simplistic but loved it.

8:34 the bad guys literally just dressed one of their henchman as James Bond and had them fight each other. They made a mask just for him, no way they could just have their henchmen train without that immersion lol. That’s literally the plot of the movie.

Sean Connery did bond's voice in this game. He came out of retirement just for this game.

Sean Connery was such a classic. I remember my father telling me about his movies. The way he described it was so mesmerising I was dumbfounded.

Man I used to love this game back on the GameCube! One of my favourites, even though I sucked at it. Would love to see you finish it all! The nostalgia is real.

I used to love, well, like this game as a kid. That surprise final twist boss blew me away back then. I'd never seen any game pull a twist like that so casually before.

The Hammer and Sickle on the cover is cute, but it seems like they couldn't bring themselves to put it in the actual game outside the title and stuck with the Red Star instead lol

I have a very oddly fond memory of this game. That Christmas, my uncle bought me a very small bart Simpson ps2 controller, and my mum bought me this, because i was obsessed with james bond. It is indeed, pure and utter chaos. The split screen multiplayer was alright too.

It's a weird beast of a Bond game. It stars a past Bond, it's named and based after the second film, came out after the most recent Bond actor bowed out, the game includes elements from the past Bond actor's other films and it came out three decades after said past Bond actor had played the character on a gaming console that would have been science fiction to them. Two decades if you include Never Say Never Again.

Excellent film, great game to match. Sure it was chaotic, but it was pure fun back in the day. Had it for GameCube

Even Ian Flemming couldn't think of Bond without thinking of Sean Connery after the movies started. That's why Bond became Scottish in the novels after the movies started. And I'm only one quarter British and never been within thousands of miles of the country but I watched every Bond movie, including Never Say Never Again within the last two years. I actually own the PSP version of this game.

Pretty awesome they got Sean Connery to voice Bond in this game. We rarely got Pierce Bronsan to voice his Bond games. It has been a while since I've watched the film, but they definitely took some liberties adapting it to this game. Still, I would buy a remaster for both current consoles and pc.
