I had this on day one, i was the only one actually doing this and my whole team was camping.

This is one of the few events i play even after gaining the main rewards. I love windtrace!

Same here but this new set up to the gameplay in windtrace was completely unnecessary and it somewhat ruins it too. No one needed unnecessary elements added in to what should have been a simple yet fun game of hide and seek. I truly love the original windtrace and hope it returns to the way it was last year the next time it reruns.

I think the changes make it much better, because much more interactive, and you don't get to win just by being in a spot the hunter doesn't know how to access.

So basically we had a rebel team of all kaeya's.. All had his skin and pfp and i was the hunter (eula).. They all escaped.. Damn you kaeya army- Edit: I just saw that I had screenshots of the result and their usernames were *We're, so and dangerous*... If you're in coop, then you automatically join with friends. However, this places you on rebel team every time. I don't know how it works if you have 4 players in your world already, we only had three people at once. Hope this helps!

The final "reveal" skill for the hunter always feels too overpowered...especially if you're the last Rebel standing!

Me frustratingly inform my teammates that they need to do the machine. And all of them just type "?" And qiqi lying on floor sticker

I keep fixing the machine even if the alarm is ringing and i haven't get caught in a wintrace game once

The real question is. Why can’t we choose which mode of windtrace we wanna use?? Just hiding or dbd.

Look, I've been playing Tag more than Hide and Seek for last few Windtrace but goddam it doesn't mean that they should turn it into an actual game of tag with this iteration.

I never used disguises at all... windtrace works better if you treat it as playing tag instead of hide and seek, I've treated it that way since the second windtrace And the signal repair mechanics make it too easy for me to hunt them down, sometimes I could round them all up in under 40 seconds, unless I encountered competent ones, that kind of players really made me run my ---- out all over the place... (Well I never lost once as a hunter still) Being a rebel, I love it when two repair from both opposite ends of the map rung, alerting the hunter, confusing them which one to check, the hilichurl map where some of those signal located on the tower aren't exactly hindrance at all, yes you're wide open, but there's not much difference after the alarm sets off, those towers are more detrimental to hunters. The worst map to play as rebel is dawn winery, if you're not careful on which signals to repair, you may end up with remaining three signals... the middle one, and the two just few steps ahead of its front door, if you have those as remaining signals, getting to repair them will be a nightmare because those three, could be viewed within a single line of sight all at the same time from a certain spot, the hunter can just stand there and wait for activity, no need to look around

Arlecchino sabotaging Neuvi XD

I was wondering why there were times when I was the only one fixing machines and the only one being chased early on 🤔

I loved Windtrace because it reminds me how much I loved hide and seek as a child. Now I'm forced to not play hide and seek. I'm now playing a different type of game mode borrowing the name of the hide and seek event.

Tip for Rebels: The signalling devices only start alarming the hunter when it gets to 30% and 70% completion. So just get it to 70% completion and run off to another to do the same. Also don't hide too close to the signalling device, disguise, use the concealing beacon and hide a decent but away and wait till they leave to finish up.

i just wish that rebels can work together, sometimes you are the only one fixing

I did actually read before starting so I knew about those changes, but I was expecting a 1min timer before the hunter starts running after us and I immediately got caught because of that 😂

Tip: put one of the invisible areas next to thr mach ur fixing and just run into it whenever the hunter comes

I like the charm of the pure hide and seek but the new game mode is more interesting and balanced, I think it's a good change although I wouldn't mind them putting the old one sometimes The biggest downside is that there are only 4 maps

I was the hunter right and the game ended within 42 seconds. I had already captured one of them because they were just wandering around and then the other two were literally almost next to each other so I got them in the same one. Got a 1000 coins from that

Always go for the favor, even if I get caught right after getting it it doesn’t matter cause it’s so much worse when the hunter has it.

I literally never did this lol 😂 I stated repairing since the start, I felt lonely when doing it alone on dawn winery map

Skill issue It actually made being the rebels easier because it can be used as bait, and it can confuse the hunter when all 3 are alerted at the same time.

nah they made it really hard for the rebels, i once played a match today when i was the rebel for the first time this event, and i've been rebel for 3 times. all of them were doing the machine, and yet i caught all of them. they made this one easy for hunters and harder for rebels

Silly things i do and (sometimes) worked is making myself a bait and make the hunter chase me all around the map 😂 (so other rebel can have it easy)

i played as a rebel 2 times and won. you just need to hide when the hunter's near. time it perfect, not everything stays the same. plus, this is how hoyo intended the game to be, gotta work for the primos

1st windtrace event back in 2021 was really the most challenging and thrilling yet super fuuuun. Like players want it to be a permanent event. Lol old days of genshin

I have no idea what the old Windtrace was like because I joined a few months ago, but like... This only happened once, and it was one person while I was the hunter So, I got all but one rebel out, and they just... Stayed on that roof, while I ran around the building, they didn't even try to go repair the devices I have no idea what the old one was like, please explain-

It is only about people reading tutorials and actually knowing what they're reading. :D I didn't have much trouble understanding how it works, but I still made huge flop right at the beginning of first round :D I was expecting that we have time to prepare. Nope :D I got caught right after :D To be honest I like this form of hide and seek better. Because it is better to just have some actiong than having stally mouse and cat moment where rebel just doesn't even have to do anything, just climbs into most awkward place possible :D It is better with more action :3

It's easier to play as Hunter now

Technically its like Identity V except much easier since the hunter dont have to deal with some ridiculously skilled survivors in kiting not to mention the numerous obstacles that help them in their kiting.

I'm just sad I can't solo play this event with 4 accounts and still get rewards... I might just grab 2 of my other accounts and play rebel and effectively go 1v1 (afk hide on other 2 accounts) against the hunter.

its too easy now for me :( both ways it was much more satisfying finding good places to hide and run when spotted or seek and catch others but now you just need to repair or catch people standing literally in the plain sight its so boring

It is sad when you see rebels trying their best to hide instead of fixing the device. I experience this both as a rebel and as a hunter. At one time I just tell the rebels what they actually NEED to do.

Meanwhile my 1st win as rebel either the hunter is new player or he let us win and dont catch any rebel

I didn't. But... In my first game we won as rebels, everyone worked together. In my second game I was the ONLY one fixing the devices... Really disappointed in some people Played as hunter in my third game, couldn't find many rebels so lost, but at least it was my fault, and not the other teammates doing jack shit

This happened to me on my first hunter game, they were just hidng and not trying to activate the machines which is the only way to win this time. Sadly people don't read the rules and think you can still hide to win. Gotta read the rules people cause the clocks on the hunters side this time.

Although I disagree that it sucks, I do agree with the maps. I wish they had a Fontaine and sumeru one, the only map I like is the inazuma one.

Honestly I'm enjoying the new version, but I'd like to have the old version available as well. And despite I like the new version and how they are willing to change (considering how arrogant they are), there are many things they could've done better with this new version For example, adding new abilities that fits the new version more. In this version the disguise bait ability is practically useless. You'd only use transparency or the other one that makes you stay invisible as long as you stay in it. Only hunter got a new ability this time which honestly isn't even that good of an ability, because it only shows you on the minimap for a very short time while giving no voice cue when it gets triggered. "Just stare at the minimap, bro" Yeah, tell that to the mobile players So while I do appreciate the changes, but there are still many things they could've done better. This version felt like they thought it was a cool idea (which to me it is) so they did it but they didn't really do much else upon that, they kinda just changed the win condition and kept most things the same. Which from a designing perspective is very lazy and dumb I do think this event could've been better but it isn't as bad as some people thought. At the very least they are willing to change things up a bit instead of keeping everything the same. They just did a horrible job at making it a good change, that all

You could get above 1000 if you play it properly, I managed to hit 1800 coins by going gungho on repairs

this new iteration is absolute bullshit.. this is just a a game, that favors the hunter all the time, its much more now "catch me if you can", than just "hide and seek" anymore, forcing rebels to permanently risk themself gettign catched and the tools of the hunter are way too overpowered ..that catch skill that forces you to stand still on spot for fucking whopping 40 seconds is just ABSURD and needs to get drastically nerfed to maximum 15s

@@Neo-o This delay makes it scary, if you know the rebel's usual starting point then be prepared for an early rush attack, even worse if rebels start at the same place, you could get rounded up in under seconds If you combine that lack of delay with that tracker ability hunters have, you can already know where to look (Oh I know, this one is going for west signal!) and sprint towards it

What's your in-game name? I was the hunter of one of those games, i caught everyone with 24s timer. There's no delay anymore and if everyone is caught at same time the rebels lose instantly, this is not hack

This windtrace really is the lite version of DBD, way more fun and engaging than the old version. YOU CAN NEVER TROLL ME AS A HUNTER ANYMORE, REBELS. I WON 90% OF MY HUNTERS MATCHES

i see alot of people complaining, saying “it’s so hunter-based” meanwhile i really love this new windtrace no hiding until the time finished, rebels are given 2 lifes instead of 1 life, its literally a good one now and both rebels and hunter are easy, i got both on my games, and i can do them quite easily, so it’s just a skillissue for people saying its hard 😂

I did this to what you did in the vid but for some reason either the hunters knows where we are exactly or just the map is to small cuz I’ve done like 5 tries and still end up losing only winning one round in a big map 🥲 I’m not gonna try anymore rip primos
