Important Note As mentioned in the community post, I unfortunately had to stop after 1,727 resets to avoid burnout and focus on my M.S. thesis. Instead of showing a continuous 12-1 run, I'll present a theoretical 3-star clear by combining footage from 12-1-1 and 12-1-2, which together have a combined time of around 2 minutes and 56-57 seconds. You are amazing, I myself needed 206 resets for 12-1 with my 5 stars. There is is so much RNG involved: if drakes get resistance before you kill them you might as well reset, if samachurl stuns you with his vines you might as well reset, if lector doesn't stagger and gets pushed to another fast enough you might as well reset, if they get separated during shield phase you, if serpent knight do random stuff etc... THIS IS INSANE CHAMBER. Congrats on clearing, even a theoretical clear is impressive

what neuvillette team did you use? i tried again using arlecchino vape first half and neuvi taser (just neuvi, furina, kazuha, fischl) and managed to clear 9*

This is amazing; I was struggling to get 36* in the abyss. This is honestly amazing work (also, 1700+ resets is amazing, considering the dedication and patience you need to have for that🙏🤧).

Absolutely insane. This might be the hardest Abyss we've gotten yet (I say that a lot don't I XD) and you're still managing to clear with the starter squad :O Have a rest, you've earned it lol I definitely think your videos are something everyone should consider watching for this Abyss, even if they don't do starter-only runs, just because of how helpful the tips are for dealing with enemy behavior

When I saw you use Anemo Traveler on the last chamber, I was convinced this took many tries. As I checked the comments, goodness gracious 1727 resets??? 20 resets already make my blood boil and stop. I can't imagine 100, not even a thousand

Learning how to group the enemies without a dedicated grouper (even then some might be too heavy) is definitely one of the biggest skill expression imo. One thing I always look for now is if the enemies have any mobility skill or not and plan the grouping accordingly.

Absolutely amazing!! Love your explanations for what you did! This really shows the importance of both positioning and some of the mechanics that don't get a lot of attention, such as the knockback provided by abilities like Kaeya's Burst. Not gonna lie, needing to consider stuff like that actually appeals to me personally because it's like a puzzle hehe it scratches my brain in all the right ways All the best with your thesis! Edit: I forgot to mention, but I actually laughed out loud when you used Anemo Traveler's Burst to group the first wave of 12-3-2 LOL that was fantastic

Freeze and the aoe of the blooms really work perfectly together. But even then, it requires immense luck. I myself went through 633 attempts to finally be finished with this abyss. I first achieved 36 stars earlier, but unfortunately my ego got in the way and made me do it again to try and convince myself that luck didn't play a major factor. I may not be as dedicated as you, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone. I hope you are doing well after all this.

Thanks, 👍! I haven’t considered doing anything other than Melt Amber and Starter Characters Only content mainly because there are really the only things I’m interested in to be honest. A second reason is that I’m in graduate school, so trying to balance KZread and school work is already extraordinarily challenging, especially given that I still have to work on that M.S. thesis through summer break.

Thanks, 👍! You don’t lose the stars you’ve earned when you reset the entire Spiral Abyss run. I ended the run at 12-2, exited the Spiral Abyss to change Traveler from Dendro to Anemo, and entered the Spiral Abyss again to start an entirely new run.

If i cant clearit at firsti dont bother anymore. Abyss isnt my goal and i dont have time nor neeves doing it all day just to get all stars. But grats on your dedication! Sure these new phases are hella hard to clear. Sad thou cause last clear gives 200 primos but if not meant then not meant.. until getting proper artifacts i can just dream in clearing this

liilli has some uses for both Hydro and Electro Traveler, but so far there hasn’t been a situation where it’s best to use them unfortunately

They took over 1,700 resets. And this is not a continuous run but rather 3 different footages stitched together. So yes, it’s almost impossible to complete 36* with 4 stars.

I assume you’re referring to the circle that briefly appears as soon as you on-field as Lisa. That’s from her C6, which applies 3 stacks of Conductive status on nearby enemies when she takes the field. However, because Lisa uses an EM build for the Overload reaction, this mechanic doesn’t contribute any meaningful damage.

I literally can’t 36 star even with a top 100 wriothesley

1700+ resets is insane, would you say the main reason behind it is enemy positioning/attacking RNG? Or is it easy to make gameplay mistakes with this group of units? This is the first abyss I haven't been able to clear in a while, not even close to the 7 minute mark lol. Also bunny dancing on top of the weakened boss at 5:50 is so funny

It was both of the reasons you mentioned and the fact that I only had Barbara and Hydro Traveler against the Pyro Lector. If Natlan gives a new starter character, I hope it’s a good Hydro applicator since Hydro application against Pyro shields has been a problem in every version that had Pyro shields.

Could you try a burning+overload team?
