Take a tip from Aquachigger, and work upstream, that way you leave the disturbed silt behind!
Thank You for cleaning up the rivers, streams, and other locations that you search! I do wish that all would do all that they could to clean u the environment! The first British coin that I ever found was a 1900 Victoria One Penny. I found that coin at a depth of 12+ inches on Reese Barracks, Augsburg, Germany. I had a very inexpensive metal detector, a Jetco Mustang. This was a BFO metal detector. This was my very first metal detector and cost me all of $29.95. LOL It sure served me well for three years! Thanks for a great video. Congrats on all your finds! Love those British Half and one Penny coins! ;-)
I wish Australia was much older... I just love history! I hope to one day get over there and do some swinging.
Turns out the ‘gaming piece’ could be a Viking gaming piece! 😳

I would have said it's a loom weight
The item at 7:30 is I believe a "stopper" for making clay pipes. It should be fixed onto the end of a hinged arm and pushed down into the clay pipe mold when the clay is still soft to form the inside of a bowl. If you look on youtube for a video called "Rex Key demonstrates how he make clay pipes" you will see how it is used.
Well done. As always, a joy to watch. Thank you for taking us along!🇨🇦!
My first hit yesterday in a little permission, being a village hotel's grounds, was a live 1943 9mm round (bullet). Possibly a careless Home Guard. Really inspiring find.

Very nice! :D
Lovely green jar and a nice coin spill, found my first bit of gold under a tree. 👍
Another great video, Kris and nice to be reminded of sunshine! The 'REMOVE BEFORE FIRING' object is a Percussion fuze no.151, from a 2" mortar round. Pedant's corner: the Victoria penny is a Bun Head, not a Young Head. Well done on sniffing out the coin spill!

@@Addictedtobleeps , you're very welcome Kris.
I dont often subscribe to someone's channel after only watching one video but I like what I saw and I want to make sure I dont miss any of your videos, I'm subscribed.
Thank you Chris for tackling the river 😀 and I must say I never miss hunting under trees 🌲 👍🏻
The green jar is a beauty cream from Icilma, I have found one identical in New Zealand they are about 100 years old, here is an add from 1931 for this product: Advert for Icilma cream 1931 'Let Icilma cream reveal the beauty of your complexion'. Many women envy the beauty of some friend or prominent leader of society, little knowing that they themselves can secure a faultless complexion. Icilma cold cream is ideal for cleaning the skin and for massage. Emollient and beautifully scented, it penetrates deep into pores, removing dirt and grease which soap and water can never reach."

Well done on getting into the stream, that first little bottle is the very same as the first bottle I pulled out on my last bottle digging adventure neat coincidence.. enjoyed the video looks like you did too..thanks 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
"Walk a few steps and go whooohk "! Yep, that sound effect really nails it.
Viking gaming piece. Wow. Not a bad day out. Congratulations. Looking forward to your next video. Keep them coming.
I remember my very first coin spill. Two half crowns and a penny. Never gets old pulling out coin after coin.
Nice video Kris. Nice day out . Thanks for your video. Thumbs up
Great vid !! Always upbeat and raring to go...I’ve only been metal detecting a few months myself..found lots of lead bullets and a few coins but nothing too interesting yet. I’m hoping to get out at the weekend on a new permission so fingers crossed 😬
I think the smaller coin in the spill is a George 2nd, so much older than all the others, very strange to find all of those together! Lovely video mate, really enjoyed it. 👍
My first time watching your videos. Love your personality. You make want to go metal detecting.
Love your videos,... Can't get out detecting at the moment, so spend my time wisely, by catching up on your videos... Take Care Cheers 😊
Good finds. I noticed most people dont bring spray bottles, they just rub and scratch the coins.
Found me a coin spill yesterday on Dawlish Warren 14 2ps and one 5 amazing pence.
Love it when u get excited lol well done on the spill! -uea
Great video again Kris. Always fun and informative
Another reason to detect under trees are crows, they love shinny objects, i have found a big gold earring under some tall trees, in a location that was impossible to be lost "in situ" :)
Well done on ur finds mate
WOW, gorgeous there as always!!!
Awesome finds mate always enjoy your videos keep up thr good work sir
Love your vids, thank you, much love mate 😀👏
Looking to get into metal detecting, you have great videos!
We Thank YOU for being YOU-----it would never be the same if you were to ever stop being you!
Great video Always a joy to watch 👍
Those are some nice old coins you got there and the green bottle was cool to see as well. I watched the whole video and hit the LIKE button 😁👍🏻
Hey Kris mate. Now that did look like fun. Who do people think they are asking if you’re allowed, kill joys!! Cool jar!! What is Grim doing in it though and is he pretty?? 😲😂 When are you breaking out your wood detector? The thing at 8:07 might well be a Viking gaming peice!! 😲 Nice little coin spill! 😀👍🏻 Take care, GL&HH. Deano.
Great video Kris, some nice Predecimal's there. GL & HH
Great video, thank you for sharing. Happy Hunting.
Fantastic vid, very enjoyable.
I love your videos and I love battlefield recovery
Definitely looks like a hnefatafl Viking gaming piece...Cool find sir👍👍
I'm not sure if you are aware, and I know you had permission, but rivers are closed to anglers until the 16th June. One of the reasons for this is fish spawn on the shallows, and anglers wading can destroy the spawn. It's a very small stream but you could do some damage.
nice day out well done for trying the stream nice one
Nice one Kris, I do love a fist full of Predecimals!
love the green bottel buddy. very Harry potter style flask :)

I doubt that its Novichok or what ever its called
Your old lead reminds me of an old Enfield bullet that has been carved on. Nice coin spill! H.H.!
Great video, might be wrong but I reckon the smaller coin in coin spill is George 2nd halfpenny, which is strange because that is not far off 200 years before George 5th, but maybe they were still in circulation which would be cool.

Milo Barrowclough Weird isn’t it? It’s a great view from where the tree is, so I’m now wondering if the tree pre-dates all the coins and has been used by multiple people to sit under?
@milobarrowclough2786

@@Addictedtobleeps yes maybe that's right, also there might have been several trees in that position over the centuries, we can only speculate but that's the thrill I guess.
Well done. Greetings from belgium !!!
thoroughly enjoyable video as always
Your brittania pennies/ half pennies are in such good condition! All the ones I have found here in Australia are barely visible.
Good luck brothers
Fun hunt with a cool coin spill. I love coin spills. They are so exciting.
Great vid as always Buddy 👍
That is a cool decretive green jar! That is some kind of goop you are digging through...
The George V penny 1918 looks like it has a letter H by the date which would make it minted at the Heaton mint and rarer that other coins and quite collectable.
@Addictedtobleeps

Marjorie Mann Hi, Marjorie! It’s actually 1913 on closer inspection, and the thing that looks like a letter is just a bit of crud unfortunately. Thanks for the heads up though!
Always good fun to watch
love watching your videos im new to the hobby only found junk so far
If you work your way up stream the current takes the disturbed sediment behind you. It does work. Brilliant videos as always.
Well done. Super stuff..
I also tried a river hunt! I realy prefer the hunt on the fields! Best regards! 😁👍
Awesome buddy....sweet coin spill...and loved the river attempt...🤣😂🤣 Only kidding, we love watching your vids...very entertaining...👍
great vid and lots of coins in one hole well found
Great video. as a point of interest, I have noticed that all detectorists under the age of about 50 pronounce the halfpenny as "half penny." I am old enough to remember spending them. The pronunciation was "haypnee." Also, of interest, a threepence was pronounced "thrupance" and a sixpence was pronounced "sixpunce." I used to spend those victorian pennies and halfpennies as a kid to buy sweets etc. Even young head victoria pennies were still in circulation until decimal currency came in on February 15th 1971.
some folks just cant help but interfear with things that dont have nothing to do with them. nowt wrong with sticking yer nose in when its needed, to help someone. ..great vid
Great video, want to get into this myself so thinking of going for the Nokta-Makro Pulse Dive to be less conspicuous. Those scoops are very expensive considering how they rust.
Great vidio, not bad for a few hrs
Great spirit to your hunt! You make is very fun to watch my friend. New Subscriber here! 👍🏼 very interesting finds. Wow to believe it could be Viking related! Sweet coin finds as well. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day my friend and I’ll see you on the next one!!!
Nice little hunt Kris. Baz.
Nice find under the tree
Great Videos love em, keep em coming man!!
Super stuff Kris... Shame the stream didn't pan out (pan lol no pun intended. {Gold panning - get it?} - oh never mind lol. Shame the stream didn't Pan out as planned. I think the coin spill is awesome. I wanna find a spill next to a tree. That'd be cool. I found a spill under a tree once - turned out to be a spilt box of nails 🤦♂️ less said the better.. I think the battered coin is an old George, which is really bizzare because if it's a coin spill. What was someone doing with all them spendable pennies within that time period AND one that had been discontinued during that time. Maybe I'm missing something and getting myself confused, just as you seemed to do..haha. I dunno, it's wierd. But what a feeling to have all them under a tree... Basically it's logic being proven.. ie. Someone could have possibly sat down next to this tree and dropped stuff from his pocket.... And hey presto - the logical thinking paying off. 👏👏👏 Quality. Well done Kris, and as always, a nice pleasant watch 👍 Take care chap 😉 Whoop Whoop 👍

Great vid kris awesome stuff mate
You've probably been quizzed as its the closed season for fishing and so the fish are spawning :D so digging around the gravel where the fish lay eggs is frowned upon... don't think its "illegal" but definitely not a way to make a friend of fisherfolk lol... I'm a fisher folk! :D lol
Great vid again Bleeps!
enjoyable to watch
Great video, but I'd be terrified to detect in water with my non-water proof Garrett. lol
Nice finds and video my friend, enjoyed my visit. H.H.
Hi.I have received a metal detector this Christmas, and loving your truthful videos. I have never been detecting before, and would like to know when is it the best time of the year to approach Mr farmer to get permission to detect IE,when crops are sown and the like.thanks.Alun Richard's,Wales.
Gaming piece: Is it made of lead? It looks like a bullet from the 1860's...Resembles the American Civil War bullets. I'm just guessing. Good show!

Matthew Focke Thanks Matthew! Yea, lead gamin pieces are common. This one looks like it could be Viking era. Have a google of ‘Viking gaming pieces’ 😁👍🏻
It's an early lead bullet , you can clearly see the point where it hit the target. Used to find them all the time with my Dad who was an expert.
