Great video. I think you make some really good points! It’s all a game of demand and supply. I do agree with your core message but the importance of buyers isn’t as high anymore I think. I wouldn’t say that the shows are for the buyers. . It definitely used to be like that, but now the shows are 100% marketing to creat a brand image intended for the consumer. That’s why you see all these celebrities and influencers front row, while buyers just head directly to the showrooms. Furthermore Most luxury brands become less dependent on retailers and and focus on a direct to consumer approach. Some of the biggest shows on the calendar don’t even sell to retailers . That’s why the luxury market in a whole is having record growth but so many retailers are struggling (matches fashion going out of business, farfetch getting sold of, KaDeWe group in Germany going bankrupt)
