Jimmy & iChang, after your familiarisation with the Malaysian lifestyle it is probably a good time for you to visit any of the big bookshops and get copies of Lat's cartoon series "Kampong Boy" and "Town Boy". You will be thrilled how all the places you visited connected to real life. I am assuming you have not been introduced to our outstanding cartoonist LAT!

Jimmy certainly know how to eat Malaysian food. Put rice, telur dadar, daging, sambal belacan and with little bit of soup together in one scoop for maximum impact. Flavour bomb in mouth💢. Sometimes it irritates me seeing foreigner eating our food, nasi and lauk2 separately, one by one😅.

Helang (eagle) is the bird of Langkawi. Lots of helang in Langkawi especially the Kawi species where Langkawi got it's name from Helang Kawi shortened to Langkawi. ❤

The coffee taste like Vietnamese coffee because of Robusta beans.. The coffee grown in Kedah are mostly Robusta, that's why they have that roasty and more bitter taste 🤤

Ichang and Jimmy, April 2023 I was there in Langkawi for a week, I ordered nasi goreng daging same sport at the Laksa Ikan Sekoq, I'm 53yo to me that is the best nasi goreng I've ever had ❤🇲🇾

I'm going to Japan next week for the first time.. It's amazing to see you enjoy Malaysia and went to rare places like this. I hope I can enjoy Japan as much as you do in Malaysia.

You guys should check out the Bujang Valley Candis! they're the oldest ruins in Malaysia dating back to when we were still Buddhist-Hindu, before Islam came.

'Sekoq' is Seekor in Northern Malaysia slang. That word 'ikan sekoq' which mean 1 fish, now i understand after i saw they serve that Laksa with 1 whole fish inside your laksa bowl.❤

Jimmy don't get it wrong because it's not a cempedak but it's a jackfruit or in Malaysia called nangka

The laksa with so called watery gravy is called Laksa Teluk Kechai. It is different from Laksa Kedah. A special sambal kelapa is added to the gravy. The noodles are made by the owner of the shop. It is called laksa beras made from rice. It is not a lower standard laksa.

I've watched you guys like few years now. Still amazes me you guys walk everywhere in Malaysia.

when going to Langkawi renting a car is a must and it's quite cheap compared to other states KL, Penang, and others. And with the car, you can go explore all the places in Langkawi. And you won't get lost because Langkawi is just a small island. Using Grab car you can't explore hidden places in Langkawi

Delicious lunch with nice paddy field view is a great combo.

Laksa is that one dish that is very diverse from state to state. I've only tried KL, Penang and Sarawak. I hope to try them all one day

Me too. Suddenly craving for laksa while watching this video.

I dont need to go far for this. When i was still studying in university of malaya, there were many thailand restaurants around campus. They were delicious and easy on my wallet. What you were eating was my staple. Now i'm back in batu pahat, and i still look for this kind of restaurants. They're everywhere, really. I love them.

Kedah laksa or Malay laksa totally different from Penang laksa which has sweet texture in soup. Kedah laksa is tangy.

Love to see you guys traveling together and find another Dragon Ball in Malaysia. Keep finding local food and Dragon Ball that is still hidden. I want to know more 🤗😊

I really would like to try that restaurant in the paddy field. The surrounding and the kampung vibe is amazing. I love it. And what I love the most is the flower dinnerware. I really love the vibe there. I always like the kampung vibe than the bandar vibe. It peaceful, mysterious and the most adventurous. You can encounter cow, goat, biawak and a bit dangerous snake. I encounter snake in kampung but as long as you mind your business, they would not disturb you. That restaurant in the paddy field is a treassure land to me. Someday I will go there. こんにちはIchang & Jimmy😄. やっぱりLangkawi は良いところやなぁ❤。8月にも行ってきたばかりだったんだ。 何回も行ったけど、やっぱり飽きないの！時間があれば、ボートを乗って、mangrove tour を試してみてくださいね。自然のありがたさがほんとに感じるんだ。

The key to kedah laksa is everything must be fresh. Fish all the way to laksa must be freshly made. The only preserved ingredient is the dried plum or asam keping. All flavours must be in balanced right down the middle.

Jimmy/iChang, the tree that u saw with a lot of fruits, I don’t think it’s a ‘Cempedak’ tree. It looks like a ‘Nangka’/Jackfruit’s tree. Also, Nangka fruit is bigger than Cempedak and doesn’t have strong smell unless it’s fully ripe. But the smell won’t be as strong as Cempedak.

Because of you guys many tourist come to this restaurant. Sometime they lost to find this place lol.

you should have rented a car since you are going so many places in Langkawi ... it's very cheap there and much easier to drive cause less traffic on road compared to rest of Malaysia.

Actually what u have eaten is the typical Kedah laksa. The one you have in Alor Setar is a different kind of laksa 😂 the noodle is homemade and they put coconut sambal together with the laksa. While the normal Kedah laksa that u have in Langkawi is the normal laksa u usually cook in our home 🥰 with thick fish broth.

If you are in Langkawi, can you take a video of the entrance to the shopping center, go somewhere interesting because there are many interesting places to visit in Langkawi..such as the Cable Car, Telaga tujuh, Chenang Beach, Island Hoping and many more places that interesting other than just making a video of eating..

Hi Ichang and Jimmy. Hornbill is the icon of Sarawak, also known as Burung Kenyalang. So you can't find much souvenirs with hornbill in other states in Malaysia. The eagle is the icon of Langkawi, so most souvenirs have eagles on them. Sarawak is special in the sense that every city or town here has an icon landmark, eg. cat for Kuching, seahorse for Miri. Hopefully you will get the chance to visit Sarawak again and watch hornbill in the wild.
