I think I don’t even mind that it happened in the first place but the fact EVERYONE posts the same comment gets old, I respond to like every single one saying I know I just like they made it in game lore 😂😂

If you want the real world answer, the developers couldn't get the limbs to look right in motion, so just continued without them. This would inspire his ability to launch his fist out and other such abilities.

It’s a shame that the fairies gave Rayman hands that think for themselves, otherwise the ending of Rayman 3 where Rayman’s hands bring the hoodlums back wouldn’t have happened. Rayman and Globox just wanted to sleep but they couldn’t catch a break.

I will never forget how in that one Rayman Origins commercial, the very first thing Rayman decides to do after just being brought into this world is... lift up his creator (Betilla)'s skirt. I love this guy.

Exactly why this reboot/sequel series' retcon doesn't work or make much sense when you really think about it. So Rayman doesn't have limbs because they ran out of magic "stuff" to make him, so, what about all the other creatures and people without limbs? Sounds like these fairies are just lazy

Rayman is really great. You should definitely play some of the series! I’m partial to the 3d entries but the latest 2d ones origins and legends were phenomenal!

YES IT IS BEST LEVEL

If anything, the fairies just created him more powerful than if he were to have limbs. I mean, he’s capable of detaching them without pain, he can launch his fist in at least some games, and we even see him playing basketball with his own torso in Rayman 3 GBA’s game over screen

Rayman reminds me of Jazz Jackrabbit. I enjoyed them so much, but at that time, few people did, as far as I knew. I loved them. When 3D came, other games and characters came in. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Jack and Daxter.

In raymans case limbs would be a disability. He has floating fists and isnt restricted at all. He only gains an advantage if anything

Having no limbs is more of a benefit than anything. Unless you count that one time, the rabbids took away his hands so he couldn't do anything.

We’ll this is the official game lore but I’m a game I think they did do that

I just want the magic of the original PS1 Rayman back. None of the sequels have captured the same magic for me. Maybe its just coz i played it as a kid the same year it came out so the sequel series years later just never hit the same.

the actual reason, on the cancelled SNES prototype (there was) the crap didnt want to render the limbs (technology)but they thought it was better so they made him limbless, then ubisoft tried to give him limbs but thought that it was too hard to animate, but in rayman raving rabbids (the first one i played) you can wear a costume that has pants, giving the illusion that he has limbs

Unfortunately, although not surprisingly, our bedazzling nymphs were distracted by Some zombie chickens on their way to Bubble Dreamer's Sacred Snoring grounds, and they lost a sack of lums chasing the crazy creatures over a cliff. Thus, they arrived late and with a lot less illumination. In the end, Rayman was born with a few fewer limbs, which as it turned out, made him a whole lot more limber!
