@J M. I think the age limit is an average of what happens in society at this current day and age.. It's similar to kids starting school at age 7 because they are believed to be mentally ready to retain information at school and there are exceptional cases of kids at age 5 who are just way beyond average. That's where the age limit comes from.

In life there is the rule and the exception.Most people fall under the rule and a minority are the exception.If you try to make the exception the rule it's not going to work out favorably.Benjamin has mentioned the same in every segment including this one.Based on the same,the age limit scientifically applies because of maturity of the part of the brain responsible for making life long decisions is capped at age 25.Therefore if interrupted some people will get stuck at that stage for rest of their lives hence constantly exhibiting behavioral characteristics of the stage at which they are stuck at.Otherwise for the minority exception they will end up flourishing anyway.Some folks when they find themselves and come into their own they end up making drastic changes in their life like initiating divorce,relocation,career shift e.t.c.The other parties caught in the aftermath are left stunned and never see it coming most of the time.Hence the statement you're not the person I married or first met,you have changed!.So it's either you level up or you get dropped and the latter seems to be the favourite option for the 'enlightened' party.
