Indian famers dont use modern machinery and equipment, the are not like western farms which use machines like tractors, harvestors, planes etc but primative machines so whats the reason behind this lets find out.Despite no shortage of efficient equipment and machinery, there's very little use of modern equipment, majorly because most farmers don't have lands huge enough to use advanced instruments, heavy machiner Needs huge initial investment and lack of finance : Agriculture machineries are costly. Very few custom machines are available at economical scale. Most of the farmers in rural areas are economical weak. They cannot afford these costly machines. Bank loans also not easily available for farmers. Farmers also not ready to take loan in fear of loss of livehood lands in case of loan defaulter.Despite no shortage of efficient equipment and machinery, there's very little use of modern equipment, majorly because most farmers don't have lands huge enough to use advanced instruments, heavy machinery

Heavy modernization of agriculture is already happening. For example, I have farmland but I don't farm myself, so someone else takes my land on lease and does collective farming (it's called theka system). Large harvesters are also becoming very common because people rent them in harvest season. That saves a lot of time. Pesticides and herbisides are also sprayed by large machines. Really the only work which still requires heavy manpower is picking cotton as doing it with machines is just inefficient.

But if you are a farmer and you die along with other farmers, you will take other Indians along with you too within few years because India cannot survive without food. Technically there are multiple reasons for the bad condition. But if we have to draw a conclusion in one sentence, it would be " farmer's own decision to depend on so called farmer leaders & the political class, whom they think that they different but reality is just exactly the opposite". General rule of life is that nobody can grow with over dependency. Subsidy, Mandi system & MSP isn't going to solve the problem. But it suits most political parties & kisan unions. Infact it allowed vast corruption & wastage of tax player's money. Fake lists of beneficiaries are being created with help of govt employees under the political protection in most of the states. They are getting DBT,subsidised electricity, loan waiving & subsidised fertilisers which they sell to real farmers or to any market seller. In this way, billions of dollar are being siphoned by ineligible people ,govt employees & politicians. Punjab is one of the classic examples of this kisan politics & rampant corruption. Families of NRIs are availing subsidies, free electricity & MSP but one section of real farmers is giving commission to them as rent for agricultural land 😛 Because of this stupidity, WTO restricted India's agricultural export which is a big source of income for farmers of other countries.

Is this your theory or what? Because i never faced any of these things in punjab gurdaspur and gurdaspur is the most undeveloped city in punjab personally i think. you know my father died in 2017 (remember undeveloped alcohol never seen drugs tho) i was 16 at the time but most of adults were actually helpfull like society secretary (society a warehouse where goverment sends Composts and Herbicides then we farmers can buy) he never behaved like an asshole i have faced in Punjab national bank those bank guys are croupt as hell they are civilized and they think they are the most important person in the world. And the people you hate the most Middle man our Middle man actually helped me alot in goverment things and i dont think he ever cheated or something On the internet paddy price was 1960 RS per Quiantal and we sold in max 1950 Rs per quintal yeah its because higher moisture in paddy thats why its 1950.

I don't think subsidies, mandi and MSP are the main problems. Subsidies are given to farmers and farmers are citizen and very large population is in the agriculture field, so expenses on subsidies comes back to the people, resulting in saving. MSP is a problem but only in few cases. Share of MSP in agriculture sales is only around 6%. And MSP's case is also applicable to mandi. The main problem seems corruption, as you mentioned, in the whole system, and giving benefits to big farmers.

Yes u r correct about solution. And i also used to think this can ve solution and major problem is that we don't have much job oppertunity to give them that's why people are doing that and India needs to increase infrastructure development and Increase productivity in hardware and software both and utilise young people. Our family also used to live in city and our most land are in villages which is earn by some. Our village people are mostly farmers or labour only and due to less development and lack of knowledge they only stuck in this farming, although Farm land is important but every family should have a Working man/woman who earning through tertiary sectors. Then we can solve these small farm and money problems. And more Urbanization needed to accommodate rural communities to provide them oppertunity to earn. First of all we need to educate people that the children those are still studying they should have proper education to have jobs in future. And improve quality life. Btw Powertrain ur voice is amazing

Can't happen here.. Actual owners and farmers are different persons .... most small farmers depend others land from landlords to survive .... doing large scale cooperation will render those small landless farmers jobless including farm labourers .... this will lead to food insecurity for that farmer (cuz they tend to steal most of the production to recover cost despite having 50-50 sharing agreement) Those farmer's cattle depend upon hay and green grass from that land to survive... that too will be gone.... Landowners make partitions on land to resist encroachment... they can't cooperate and merge their land with others.... land holding is fragmented

Farm Labourers shifting to manufacturing will force "bad" farmland owners who probably are bad in farming to sell or lease land to "good" farmland owners who probably are good in farming so when both have to shift from low cost labour to machinery the later will have idea what to do. This is actually good as instead of having "lots" of farmers we will have "good" farmers. Also when the 2nd generation gets disconnected or doesn't care about farm or country side land they may want to sell it off this will again give for power to the actual farmer, land size increase, money involved also increases thus the difference also makes the farmers more self reliant.

Many farmers in India actually own very small pieces of land. They don't do anything but farming because they don't know anything but farming. Farming is mostly done because of the engineered seeds that are given to them with all the technology and tips-n-tricks by the government. Since generational knowledge can't compete with the yield level of those big agro firms. So at this point, for this majority of the population in India, this land is more of a liability to them than an asset. They won't sell that land to big agro firms (and become part of the service sector as an employee) solely because of their instinct of "hater panch" which means an asset of last resort. But, the irony is that the asset is never utilized.

All caused by Indira Gandhi. Back then entire villages would be owned by a single guy. But she took it away from them and gave it to small farmers. India is still suffering from that... People back then would go to madaras, Bombay to get jobs, If it stayed that way by 1991, With the new indian economy, rapid growth would've happened, villagers without job going to cities, (Now they don't want to sell their land, and they don't keep it very productive either.) By 2022, india would've been equal to developed countries...

Don't get mesmerised by heavy machinery working in Agri fields... you have no idea the damage that occurs to soil and its natural structure when we take these machinery into fields which weighs in multiple tons ... except 1/2- or 1-feet soil on the top, bottom layer of soil becomes like a concrete rock due to heavy pressure n becouse of which micro organisms and variouse other helpful insects/organisms which by default exist in soil gets completly vanished leaving d soil dead n barren. Which only responds when there is heavy chemical use in farming, which is a vicious cycle. which is majorly responsible for whatever health issues modern civilization is facing by consuming produce which come from such type of farming.... You got to learn about natural farming, Subhash palekar model farming most importantly read about Fukuoka model natural farming you will get a whole different Pov on this issue overall.
