I was gonna make a video like that this past summer. I was gonna stay in the truck camper in the parking lot at work. Then record what life would look like if I lived in the truck camper. But I'm up at 545, I go to work, and I'm home around 515. My Monday through Friday is pretty boring. The weekends is when I have fun!

I carry a few seasons of the office in the truck camper. I watch them a ton! I don't always have cell service where I camping. The Office is my favorite show. It is my security blanket. Lol

Thank you, I am feeling better. I'm gonna start to look where I'll be going this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll look for an empty established campground or a dispersed campsite. Wherever we end up, I'm sure it will be better than being at work!

We were taught to leave no trace when we were camping.

Yeah I was sick just after Turkey day last year. I am 57, my mom is 78. She came over, and made me my favorite dinner. Cow’s tongue, her mashed potatoes and Kale Greens. Then gave me a Hot Toddy and I felt great the next morning.

@@KennyOfAllTrades trick to cow’s tongue is you boil it for 1 hr, then pour off the water. This get out any toxins and germs. Then fill with hot water and boil for another hour, this tenderizes it. Drain and fill with cool water. Let sit 15 or 20 min and drain. Sit on plate and peel/trim the skin off. It will look like a nice roast when finished. Make 6 cups of brown gravy ( I use McCormicks brown gravy) spiced with some 2 bay leaves and a 1/8 tsp of ground clove, and simmer for at least 15 min to meld the flavors. Once tongue is pretty cool, slice it at an angle toward tip of tongue and work your way back. Slices about 1/4 inch thick. Put the slices in the gravy to warm back up. Make mashed potatoes, a must to put gravy on. Serve with kale, turnip or collard greens

Sure glad you're feeling better. You've been in our prayers here in Oklahoma. We've had the flu, RSV, and a nasty stomach virus going around in our area. I'm sorry you're having trouble with that tooth- nothing worse than a tooth ache. I'm praying you get it taken care of in time. You know Patrick Swaze had an abscess in one tooth that developed sepsis in his bloodstream and settled in a leg he'd had trouble with- can you imagine! That chicken noodle soup looked so good, and moms are the best. You left that camp area much better than you found it, hope others pass it along. Perfect feel good or better meal. I am a firm believer if I start to feel a cold or something coming on I cheat and pop a can (Pregresso Chicken White/Wild Rice) open and will feel better quickly. Chicken Noodle Soup One whole rotisserie chicken fresh cooked I use one from Costco but any grocery store will do. 1 1/2 tablespoon salted butter 2 to 3 stalks of celery diced 3 to 4 large carrots or 1 medium bag of baby carrots diced 2 cloves of garlic minced 1 box vegetable broth 3 to 4 boxes of chicken broth depending how thick you like your soup and how much you want to make. 1 tsp of salt 1/2 tsp of freshly ground black pepper 1/8 tsp dried rosemary 1/8 tsp dried sage 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes 1 tsp of poultry seasoning up to 5 cups of noodles of your choice depending on how thick you want your soup. 3-4 cups of cooked chicken of your choice, more or less depending on how much chicken you want in the soup. Dark meat seems to have more flavor. 1 tsp of better than bouillon chicken flavor Instructions Separate as much of the meat from the chicken, whole or left overs from the bones/carcass and set aside. Place bones and carcass in a large pot. Pour in the box of vegetable broth and as many boxes of the chicken broth to cover the bones/carcass. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 min. Remove bones/carcass from broth and separate any more meat if you wish. Discard skin/bones. In a fry pan add the butter, diced celery, carrots, and garlic. Simmer until they begin to soften. Add everything except the noodles to the broth bring to a boil and simmer for 15 min. Add noodles to your liking bring up to a mild boil until noodles are as you like them. Note the rotisserie chicken saves the time required for cooking, the recipe freezes well. I use containers for a large single serving and freeze the soup. Once frozen I quickly run the container under hot water then when I remove the lid the whole thing slides out in one piece. I then vacuum seal the serving and put back in the freezer. When I go camping I can put several in the freezer in the camper. To reheat I can use the microwave or place the bag in boiling water and reheat. I do the same for stew and anything else I can think of. Saves a ton of time and there is always something homemade to heat and serve.

Thank you so much! It's almost quitting time. 1.5 hours until the work week is over. I'm looking forward to finding a remote spot in the Chippewa National Forest this weekend. I was looking at a few maps on my lunch break. I think I may have located a single campsite on the shores of a lake without any cabins on it. The lake has a few islands. Im gonna bring my bike to explore them. The ice may be slippery, but I hope to find some awesome places to set up camp with a canoe this summer.

Adding peeled, cored, and cubed apples to chicken soup is really good. Just get them into the broth quickly after cutting to keep them from browning (when you tossed in the noodles would be a perfect time). Good job on this trip Kenny.

Something you can use as a fire starter is dryer lint. It's flammable and best of all it's free.

I faithfully saved all my dryer lint and stuffed it in a cardboard egg container but all that happened was we had to open up all the windows and doors in the house and lost our good warm air. Maybe it's a different story if you're doing it outside and not in the fireplaces. 😁
