Hey Carl! Glad you’re enjoying the content brother thank you for watching. I finally got the lift installed and it’s so much better than I expected man, really the best lift I’ve had on a Jeep and I’ve gone through quite a few reputable brands. The best part for me is that it not only didn’t make the ride harsher, it actually improved the quality of the ride over the stock 392 setup which was very good. I’ll have a on road and off road review done asap!

I’ve built a lot of jeeps and I feel Rockcrawler is the top suspension on the market for jeeps, I really like their springs they work incredible, I ordered a 392 and when it comes in I will be ordering one of their kits I have a recent JL with rock crawler kit on it and it’s awesome no complaints, And my last four JK‘s had rock crawler kits I’ve tried other kits but always go back to rock crawler, you will be happy with your set up, you always have to make adjustments though for example you might have more weight on the front or the rear or vice a versa and you can adjust that with half inch spacers on the springs, anyway nice video awesome shop you have kudos to you👍

Thanks so much Jon! Yea when I was searching for the kit I wanted to use, and a company I wanted to endorse, I took everything I had learned and the mistakes I had made into account. Speaking with the guys Rock Krawler really gave me the confidence. I cant wait to get this kit on, install keeps getting delayed. @@StudioMotors you should install the kit yourself, I don’t know if you were hiring someone to do it but it’s kind of fun doing it yourself just take your time and you could put a lot of attention to all the details, pending how heavy the front or back of your jeep is if the vehicle doesn’t sit level the way you want you can always add a half inch spacer, I pretty much have to do that on all my builds, For example I don’t run a rear bumper and I run poison Spyder front bumper which has a little bit of weight I also run a warn 9.5 CTI winch with steel line I prefer the steel line so that’s more weight so under breaking it will stink bug dive so I one or two spacers that levels everything out, I haven’t used Rockcrawler shocks but I know they’re really good shocks my most recent set up I’m using the fox 3.0 Adjustable shocks which is nice because I can tighten up the front with compression dampening High speed and low speed, and when I go off road I back everything out gives me a smoother ride. But I have total confidence in rock crawler engineers are great & their hands on, I really do feel you have purchased the best kit overall for your vehicle,Thanks again for your videos and I really like your shop, you have a good looking jeep kudos to you👍

Absolutely hyped for this my sarge 392 will be getting the same rk kit but plan on doing the fox 3.0 ibp shocks. Slightly less travel but significantly better in the fast hard stuff.

Thanks for the video. Had the Metal Cloak 3.5 Game Changer on the 2016 JKU and loved it. This looks very comparable. Just curious. Are you planning on changing the drive shafts with the lift or not needed since it is only 2.5' Lift?

Thank you for watching, Greg! I've ran Metalcloak on my JKU as well but personally felt Rock Krawler was the better fit for the 392. Nothing bad to say about Metalcloak at all. I'll be upgrading the front drive shaft but most likely not the rear, for now. The front shaft is going to see the most misalignment so I'll swap that one out (going to be comparing the top 3 brands) and see how it goes with the rear. Thanks again for watching and the comment!

Can't wait to see the upgrades Dave. Are those stock tires on your 392 in the background, or are they 37's? BTW - I'm taking delivery of my 392 XR on Monday. I'm so excited bro. What's your recommended tire pressure for on-road performance? Remember you saying don't let them inflate the hell out of those tires. lol

The tires you're seeing are 37" Cooper STT Pro's - I picked these tires for a few reasons, you can see that vid here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k5aBlZqiqtbNZtI.html Tomorrow is your delivery day, I'm excited for you man! The recommended PSI from factory is 37 all around for the 392 XR so you can start with 35psi and go from there. What I meant with over inflating is that some dealers, for some reason, inflate these things to 40psi and above before delivery. I don't understand why they do this, but check the Tire Pressure Monitor on your dash as soon as you take delivery. Please drop a comment letting me know what you think of the 392 XR when you get a chance!

Hey Dave, i'm glad to see your 392 vids. I finally got mine (2022 none-XR) and planning to run it stock for a while before getting into mods. One thing I've noticed on the RK control arms is that they are not adjustable! Have you considered Adj control arms?

Hey thank you LSJK! Great question regarding the control arms. The upper front control arms and the upper rear arms in this Adventure kit ARE adjustable, which is important for giving you the proper castor and pinion angle. The bottom front and rear arms are not adjustable, but the bottom fronts are longer than the factory bottom front arms and are the perfect length for the 2.5" lift. So you are not missing out on adjustments in places that are crucial, and the non-adjustable arms are already the right length for this lift. One of the key features of this Rock Krawler 2.5" Adventure kit is being ultra capable but also ultra low maintenance. Your lower arms are naturally prone to get smacked and banged, whereas your uppers don't take those hits. Adding adjustable jam nuts to the lowers opens them up to more maintenance in the sense of banging up the jam nuts, skipping threads, or loosening up over time. So to keep this kit as low maintenance as possible, RK went the route of longer bottom arms instead of making them adjustable. With that said, for the customers that actually need the full adjustability of all 8 control arms, Rock Krawler will be releasing a version of the Adventure kit called "Adventure X" which will give you adjustability in all the arms. I have previously ran Metalcloak control arms on a JK which had adjustable lowers and me personally, I could have definitely done without them. It's one less thing to worry about when you're not doing pro level stuff and want the most out of the Jeep with as little maintenance as possible. I hope that's helpful feedback! @@StudioMotors Thank you Dave! As always, your indepth comments are very helpful and much appreciated. Based on my research, the lift height of XR and non-XR 392 is 2". Do you think I can run 37s on my 392 with a 2" rear bump stop (no crwaling)? I'm planning to regear to 4.56 down the road, have you noticed a drastic change when you switched to 37s?

Great video. My 392 is a non XR which still has the same lift height as the XR just not sitting on 35s. Does this lift give 2.5 in over the 392 lift from the factory or do you really get about an 1in over factory height.

Hey Chuck, this lift gives you a true 2.5" over your current 392 lift because it was designed specifically for the Jeep 392.

Great video! I just ordered my 392 but they don’t offer XR package anymore. What size lift would you recommend?

I would recommend 2.5” lift over the standard 392 ride height. But you will also need 37” or bigger tires or the proportions will look off. Do you plan to regear it?

@@StudioMotors I want to make it a BEAST! I’ve seen your review on the Rock Krawler gear and it looks pretty solid. I want to go high end with the lift, wheels and tires. I don’t care about the expense, I just want good steering and a sick ride. I plan to off road it but not too much rock crawling.

I wish they were but no, only 3 are mine. The red Jeep 392, the yellow F355, and the red BMW clownshoe. The Ferrari is 1999 with a gated manual transmission and the BMW is a 2000 manual with a Dinan supercharger, exhaust and Stage 5 tune.
