The orange sauce with Biryani is called thovayal. It looks like chutney but it is different. Chutney goes well with thosai. Thovayal is good with Biryani. Ipoh series is so good. Thank you for promoting Perak food.

That Char Teow Taiping has been around for nearly 50yrs now. First started by the late father & after his death, taken over by the son. It's a must for me to have it whenever I go to Stadium Food court. I don't go for the roti canai though because I would rather go for Fuad's Roti Canai. Ipoh has lots of interesting & yummylicious food. For example, only in Ipoh or Perak you can find a sweet dessert name Putu Perak, Penjan & Bubur Anak lebah. Putu in other states is made from rice flour with gula melaka but in Perak it's made from glutinous rice flour with white sugar & coconut. Penjan is tapioca cooked in gula melaka & coconut milk. Both you & Jimmy should come to Ipoh during Ramadhan month. It's only this time, you will be able to find these rare delicacy at the Ramadhan bazaars
