The Batec, the travel scooter and the tank chair are all invented by either people who have been injured themselves or their partner have been injured. They are all some of the best inventions out there (in my opinion) :-) Personally, I'm still considering buying the travel scooter which is a GREAT invention for people like me who can not walk too long distances (if this travel scooter didn't exist, it would make traveling a lot harder for me) :-)

That looked really fun and awesome! One thing though, I would NOT let it charge unguarded with the door closed. This is obviously not the same thing as a self balancing scooter board since there is many knock offs but a family not far from where I live charged their board in a closet and it ended with the whole house burned down...

It's fantastic to drive this fast, but dangerous, too! Please, tell the owning of the batec to your houshold insurance. Here in Germany l got this tip to have insuranced if there will be an accident or s.o. steals it. I hope it never ever happens to you but an insurance maybe very important. I'm so impressed of your happiness an l hope one day l'll have got one similar to yours. Great! Be blessed!

I think the child like feeling is freedom. I have just had to swap from a manual chair to a powered chair, and when I get out for a good walk I get that feeling of wind in my face and the sense of freedom it gives me. It’s the independence you need to do something everyone else does without thinking. And yes you do feel like a child getting excited.

Watching you go up those hills made me grateful that my mobility scooter has three speed settings - if I want to go up a hill I just bump it up one setting and it gives me the power I need to zip up to the top without slowing significantly. I’ve tried other scooters that don’t have that and I well know that feeling of “oh god am I gonna make it???” 😂

Hi Gem just discovered you channel, very informative thank you. Just a couple of questions, if you don’t mind. Sorry if you have answered these in your previous videos . My husband is a complete T10 since an accident in 1989 and after this length of time his legs have lost a lot mass and are now quite Bony. I understand your incomplete and have some feeling, which wheelchair cushion do you find gives you the best pressure relief? Last question, do you ever get the opportunity to stand and if so what apparatus do you use to achieve this please. My daughters have never seen my husband stand and are curious to see if paraplegics who have had their injuries for many years achieve this, but of course will speak to my physio first. Thanks again Angela. Keep up the good work.

Remember that legally you cannot go faster than 4mph on public pavements. haha I go at 6.5mph as that speed of my chair but this is actually illegal. 😂 Also avoid wearing mask around neck as your neck is potentially covered in covid! And you need to wash hands before and after touching your mask to reduce the spread.

Batec mini is ideal to use in shops and stores as it’s a lot smaller and more viable. in the process of getting one of those as I can bring that one with me when going with the car. And please don’t put your mask under your mouth/chin and neck as that skin is still exposed wearing your mask and any bacteria or virus can get in the inside of the mask that way that you breath in when you put it back over your mouth 🙈 better to just leave it hanging at one ear.

4:23 There's no way you could fit that many things in there. 14:27 No wonder your tires were hot! *facepalm* Did you try all those moves you show in this video...with the brakes off?

Have you tried Loopwheels.? They give you an element of suspension and need 20% less energy/force to push when using manually.
